It is true that ingested smoke congests your alveoli, which are wrapped in tiny blood vessels called capillaries. And that no known medical procedure can remove the suet building up over time. But hey, at least you won't get higher than if you had a glass of wine. So, relax, dudes!

And now this (on Sunday):

" Passengers caught on Gatwick-St Lucia flight, where a man was stabbed in mid-air, blame BA for giving assailant 'an endless supply of alcohol' and 'ignoring' men who 'harassed women and blocked access to the toilet' as they partied for hours. "

However, it seems that our values have been compromised.

Yeah, not just values, societal standards in just about every avenue. I frankly don’t know how much longer we’ll be able to have a functioning society at the rate we’re going. My wife and I are planing to move to Europe when we retire, not just for the food and scenery, but because it feels a lot more civilized, especially in some of the smaller towns (100k or less people).

There's a guy on Youtube who flies a Piper Cherokee. He has uploaded videos recently on Spain and Italy offering houses for sale quite cheaply. The  cheapest ones cost 1 USD (obviously not very nice housing).

When did we lose the ability to laugh at crazy people's antics

When we developed empathy. I suffer from OCD, have done since I was 8 years old, I'm now 65. My daughter suffers too, only a different form than me. Its a dreadful disorder I have to fight it every single day of my life. in the top 5 most debilitating mental disorders. Personally, I wouldn't appreciate people laughing at me.

It's not typical for a marijuana user in her late 20s/early 30s to have a psychotic break questioning a person's legitimacy.  She is well-dressed, clean and rather coherent for bipolar d/o with psychotic features.  This is not a presentation associated with bipolar d/o.  It's much likelier that she has a delusional d/o at baseline and was triggered by something that was said or seen.  All of my patients with pure delusional disorders were very normal until a certain topic came up.  She might use meth too.  You'd be surprised how many people use methamphetamine and don't always appear as an addict.  I worked with a guy who used everyday for 7 years.  He worked as a supervisor and no one ever knew.  Higher potency THC is problematic among certain cohorts, but I feel that it's less likely given the 10 years I've had in psychiatric nursing.  You work in several inpatient hospitals for a decade and you can almost pick the cluster B's, meth addicts, and true bipolar or schizophrenics out of a line up with precision.

They didn't believe William Shatner when he woke up and looked out the window and saw a gremlin pounding on the engine with a hammer.

Yeah and probably generations prior to them as well. But, when you compare the shenanigans occurring on a daily basis now, compared to even 10-15 years ago, it’s quite clear we’re heading quickly in a downward spiral with no end in sight, at least in the US. Granted not everyone feels that way, some are ok with it and some even encourage chaos.

Perhaps when Earth's society has matured, then the aliens will break their radio silence. And their trading vessels may at last arrive.

Aliens need to fly too.  Don't be hatin on our space Aliens 😀

Ok, let's consider the possibilities.  What was the "not real" thing?

1.  Lizard people.  Can't be this, lizard people only fly first class and this was in the back of the aircraft, in coach.

2.  Alien.  Aliens don't fly commercial.  They have their own aircraft.

3.  Ghost.  Ghosts don't need aircraft, and who would want to spend their afterlife in the back of an airliner?  Heck, even a short flight can seem like eternity.  How many flight simmers sit in front of their computer for an entire flight?

4.  Carrot Top.  Comedian.  Real name Scott Thompson.  Yes, he was on that flight.  He says the whole thing started because she lost an earbud. This may be the most bizarre explanation.  Yes, truth is indeed stranger than fiction:  fiction has to make sense.

5.  Bigfoot.  Makes more sense than the "earbud" story from a comedian, but bigfoot wouldn't fit in a coach seat.  Maybe a chupacabra... this was Texas after all, but they generally aren't confused with people [citation needed].

6.  Some guy in a green hoodie.  When he winked, his eye closed sideways rather than down.  This was a different aircraft (bins opened from the top where the "not real " lady aircraft bins opened from the bottom, and reports on the green hoodie video said it was from two years ago.)  Don't believe everything you see on the Internet.

To fit the narrative, we need something that actually exists, but can be accused of being "not real."  Something that can make a person overreact.  Maybe something like Dylan Mulvaney (of Bud Light fame) in a stewardess uniform.  Wait... "ear bud"... "Bud Light"... maybe we misheard Carrot Top.

Yes but they keep crashing them, apparently, so they are forced to fly commercial from time to time until their spacecraft comes back from the space body shop.
