Because XP12 is visually stunning actually (lighting, ambiance, colors). From what I have seen so far, P3D v6 is far behind in that department. July 9, 20232 yr I watched the Livestream yesterday, I have money, but I've built all my scenery from freeware over the last 15 years. I've been Flying MFST since '93, DOS 2.0- Win 3.1 and so on... Dude, That's a lot of hardware, I'm running Win10 integrated graphics, 8GB Ram and MSFT Flight sim 2004.(it's he same install as was on XP SP?, Win7, now 10, just copied over) I use Start+G , Xbox Live, built into Windows to record, then upload videos. It wasn't long ago you had to use fraps to record(GB's), then NCH to compress it to (MB'S), then Xvid to add Music etc. My Point is: Do you have any Videos to go with that Hardware? TIA, TS K-board flyer- Sneauxwolf @ YouTube
July 10, 20232 yr I just watched this video: Click ...and especially the lighting during approach and landing struck me as much more realistic and plausibel than in older P3D versions. Without a direct comparison it's difficult to tell, but that's my impression. The older P3D versions overdid it with the orange and yellows at dusk and dawn.
July 10, 20232 yr In my experience, default P3Dv4 looks far too purple at dusk and dawn, with not enough orange and yellow. I corrected that with REX4 Texture Direct. July 13, 20232 yr From what I've seen so far in screenshots and videos, the clouds still need work. They just don't look realistic enough, and the brightness is excessive at times. I have yet to see any cirrus clouds. Better than P3Dv5 volumetric clouds, though.
