I really hate the white dot issue as well. I really hope they will finally get rid of it in the next update, it's been 3 yrs already. I don't think it would be a complicated thing to do. Sigh. It really breaks the immersion for me seeing that word not allowed white dot. I know it appeared when they were getting ready to launch the xbox version but they could've at least disabled it or give us an option to turn if off in the settings for PC users at least.

This happens if you happen to hover over the wrong area but it's easily stopped.  I would guess I see it maybe once or twice w/ each flight, briefly.  I can wait for SU13.

I use a head tracker Noel, so it flicks on and off all of the time - it is really distracting.
However, I can understand that if you use a default fixed viewpoint in the cockpit, you will not trigger it as much.

I am hoping to finish my new build in time for SU13.  I am really looking forward to seeing it gone!

We are at a stage now where I really think we need a few good rounds of bug fixing and performance optimisation (DX12 is nowhere near optimised yet for instance), before they move on to MSFS2024, because it will basically be a dead Dodo after that.  Hopefully MSFS will be good enough and compatible enough that we will all want to move over to it, and I think that is what MS / Asobo are hoping.  Actually, they will definitely be hoping for that.

Main issues for me are: - (not covering aircraft / flight model / systems related stuff here)

1.  White dot and flat screen border.
2.  Tile swapping in general as you fly over them.
3.  Missing tiles in DX12.
4.  Make the 'word not allowed' drag bars bigger on the main menu, not just a thin line you have to hunt around to centralise on with your mouse (time of day drag bar etc.)
5.  Take a look at the pop up distance for runway / taxiway signs.  For a modern software title, having these pop up in front of your eyes is a bit silly.  LOD adjustments don't help the issue.

I am really impressed how Jorge and the team are enthusiastic and constantly try to improve and add content, but like others, I really don't understand why they don't tackle these issues with a bit more urgency.  It seems Microsoft and WT work really hard on the issues, but there seems to be a bit of a disparity with Asobo, who seem much slower to react.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Conspiracy Hat On; They don't bother to fix the most glaring & obvious issues in the hope that people simply move over and buy the new sim 👀

Of course I hope that never becomes reality, but considering their history with bugs and regressions that are now years old I wouldn't put it past them. They may well fix the white dot nonsense in SU13, but there's a list as long as my arm of issues that need decent attention before they stop working on this Sim altogether.

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

I hate to see so many non-believers in this thread.  Everything, and I mean everything, will be cured in FS2024, And, bonus, it will bring world peace too

I tend to go to the simplest explanation. They don't want to.  You know Occam's razor and all that.

It seems Microsoft and WT work really hard on the issues, but there seems to be a bit of a disparity with Asobo, who seem much slower to react.

Neumann sets the priorities. Asobo follows.

The mouse flicker bug is the worst.

Waiting over half a year for a hotfix is honestly upsetting. Games with 1 dev put out similar hotfixes over one weekend.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.

Your mouse is on the default setting ? what you describe  smells a double binding.

That's both the blessing and the curse of major game companies. A lot more money and attention poured into the product but it also becomes a massive oil tanker in terms of development agility, takes ages to do any turns and manvoures. Everything has to go through the internal chain of command, meetings, scrum boards, discussions, QA and final seal of approval and by that time months or years have passed.

It's part of the white dot bug. Not everyone gets it, just like not everyone gets the white dot or white panel border. It's just another part of the glitch lottery we all played.

One of the most annoying bug in almost 3 years of MSFS. It makes clicking a button in the cockpit sometimes a 10-times-effort.

I reduced flying drastically until this is fixed.

I don't have any problem clicking anywhere in the panels and just see the white dot if I use an Xbox controller to pan the view, but I'm not using any head tracking device.

I'm also using Legacy for cockpit interaction.

On General Options > Accessibility>Cockpit Interaction System are you on Legacy or Lock ?

This bug is weird I see it white dot/frame flashing from time to time but rarely. It is a bug all right but depending somewhat on the user's setup. For the record I am on legacy. No Xbox controller used.

Legacy. I tried switching to Lock but it didn't do anything. Unplugged mouse and all other USB's and plugged just the mouse in and nothing. Tried resetting mouse to default, and nothing.

It doesn't happen all the time; Usually after a few minutes of playing rather than right away, too.

I get the white dot and the white frame around displays. I noticed however when I get the white dot I also get an erratic mouse cursor. If I jiggle my rudder pedals it usually goes away for awhile.

For the first time today I got the white dot and erratic cursor, your tip about the rudder solved it, let's hope it lasts for the rest of the flight..
