Prolexic and CloudFlare have several outages. There are many websites down right now because these 2 provide security for other sites. Flightsim.to as well.

Thanks for the info.

Can you use the sim offline

You can.  But it will look like FSX default. Best ground yourself, open a bottle of wine and cook something

I thought it was weird that the live weather switch doesn't work. OK then it's not me.

Yet another reminder that we are not owners of this sim… we are users of a service.

Flightsim.to is back up. Hopefully a good sign.

I'm sure any healthy adult can live without their videogame for a few hours when there's a massive outage effecting a lot of services, when you get a great product all the other 99.8% of the year.

All good here now. Didn't get round to mowing the lawn.

Instances like this make me consider backup options, I.e p3d or Xplane. I’ve used both (albeit only tried the demo of xp12) but always come back immediately to MSFS…do any of you have a backup sim for “offline” flying?

No, I just do something else until it's fixed.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

That wasn’t my point. I was saying the sim requires Microsoft to keep the MSFS world alive (or at least, ‘enhanced’).  I haven’t fired up the sim in days so the odd server outage has little impact on me.
