You are angry. checkmate.

...do you mean, checkmate as in ... white to move and checkmate black in two moves??
(for clarity the comment is for someone else, and the white pieces are moving upwards)

I am real life GA pilot. Flight dynamics in XP12 are better than MSFS. Feels closer to what you experience in real life. However XP12 doesn’t compete with MSFS in 90% of the other areas.

Guess you haven't tried the Comanche.

I don't believe for a single second in this new MSFS 2024. No confidence at all to hope for a more realistic objective from them. Their objective is elsewhere and already well established. The MSFS 2024 “Missions” are the only way to attract new players, young girls, women, the whole family!, including the little dog! and to retain them. ( This is their only opportunity to progress ). To balance it all out, a few small realistic new features, new regular free missions and a handful of bugs fixed so that old players like me  players like me get drawn into its new curiosities... and Game over.

Their established track record completely destroys this ridiculous fantasy "analysis".

Don't reverse the roles and I wouldn't want to add more case of hives to you than you already have.

Lets see, how does this "blocked user deal work>.... Oh,, cool....😀

Their track record shows that they keep giving us lots of free (and paid) planes and scenery and lots of goodies. Which is good. All whilst ignoring huge items on the wish list, breaking things in betas and not fixing them, and leaving fundamentals broken. Which is bad.

I could list them all, but I’m sure there is no need.

Gordon Bennett!!!...Its just a game.

If someone came on an established Pilot's Forum and behaved like the prima donnas and know it alls in here they would just be ignored, but here in 'serious flight-sim' world ..well you get this

I would say more a realist comment. He certainly doesn’t wear rose tinted glasses. I think he’s translating what he writes, but the bulk of what he writes is certainly true.

"realist"? REALLY?

The best, most generous thing that can be said for his statement is that it's wildly, hallucinogenically exaggerations based on micro-nuggets of truth.

None of which can be substantiated based on established performance.

I agree with this, but, there isn’t anything that you’re able to move to that’s better in this genre. Hence the frustrations of all of the broken things in this sim, that ruin the overall experience for some.

So you and Filou...somehow...manage to acknowledge that it's simultaneously the best available flight sim, AND so bad that it can only give a ruinously miserable experience?

That's some comically bad, bordering on tragically, poor "logic".

Seriously: find another game to play.

It’s not “just a game” for everyone. For me you are " just an avatar " . Do you understand the nuance?

MSFS 2020 flight dynamics is a joke with unrealistic "Realistic" real weather.

With completely unpredictable and disconcerting behavior on the ground, take-off, flight and landing.

I heard exactly same thing from some of my studenst when they  lack of necessary flying skills. Usually I offer following solution: instead of projecting own misdoing on external factors weather, instructor, controller, airplane and etc, try to recognize and focus of fixing mistakes one at the time 😉

I am far from the biggest fan of MSFS, but it is an excellent flight sim. In many ways the best that's ever been created.

Did you ever expect it to go "perfectly" and "on time", or most unreasonably of all, exactly according to YOUR priorities????

OMG, I can't even find enough lols/smh emojis to string together to adequately respond to your collective level of self-entitlement and superiority complex. You both look too old to be acting in such a "youthful" manner.

It's a great game, and while it (like all of them) has it's weak spots, it's been on a continuous ramp of improvement the likes of which has never been offered to the public before.

And far in excess of your gross oversimplifications of "baubles" and superficialities.

The very reason v2024 is coming is because Asobo have (long ago) realized that to take the sim to the next level of realism, it needs a genuine new version under the hood.

Indeed, if either of you had actually been paying attention all along, including the recent expositions from Asobo themselves, you'd easily be able to realize it.

But thanks for reminding us that Einstein had quite a few accurate observations on the human condition...

Absolutely not related to intersim galactic fight brought to this topic by some folks. But I always ask my student prospects if they ever had prior flying experience or used  flight simulation as a hobby. With few exceptions of people coming back to resume flight training after  sometimes years or even decade, majority people admit occasionally fly casual use "flight sims"  on either xbox or play station ( as simmer I wouldn't even call them sims lol) And guess what all who stayed through the training became proficient certified pilots.

My point is a lot of simmers live in the world believing that because something is being marketed as superior it must be. Each attempt  to create  authentic flight simulation always comes with a lot of compromises. There is no AI yet that can replicate real world and so is apply in sim. Both XP and MSFS with legacy P3D branch hold the bar toward realistic flight summing attempts. Yet none of them can represent completely authentic flying experience and probably never will (unless of course AI take over LOL) So if you "real pilot" and feel XP is superior stay there and enjoy. No need to come in MSFS forum because there are plenty certified pilots here who feel comfortable enough here as well. Also, I always tell my student  they will become "real pilots" after the first solo! However,  we never use this expression ever again - all we talk after focusing on check ride LOL If my student show up on check ride with DPE and declare himself "real pilot" I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of suffering, so we don't use it 😉
