So, FSX didn't have that so you purchased an addon?  You can do the same with MSFS - my personal favourite is xEnviro 2020 for the amazing variety of cloud types.

Yes, and that addon was developed because 3rd party devs at HiFi were able and allowed to do so. I didnt try xEnviro so far and read mixed reviews about it. How do they deal with the closed-source asobo weather engine?

I have no idea, because you want a perfect simulator that will never exist in our lifetime.

I dont expect the core sim to be perfect, see above.

Thats a silly response and you know it. You're completely missing the point.

The silly response is the constant whining Usually revolving around some issue with VR. Well i thought i would fire mine up (Nothing special meta Quest 2 ) and i am yet to see any issue. it looks fantastic, I can access menu's as required, so from my point of view it's bordering on Whining for whining's sake. How about trying to have a wee bit of positivity, just for one day eh!

Do you see other aircraft's landing gear from a distance?

When shutting down aren't you thrown away from your cockpit?

Have you tried to load a flightplan while in VR?  Try it and see what happens😋

Lots of little things that could be fixed along time ago...

Anyone doing that should be reported for hate speech!

Well, I had to run for my safe space!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

For once it would be nice if people would stay on topic. I actually wanted to learn more about this beta release. I guess i will have to go to the official forums.

It's not getting mad, and you know it, The guy constantly moans about this and about that. Here's something, why not direct the problem to the folk that can actually do something to address your so called issues. Instead just about everyday, there's a half decent thread running, then boom the " Chuckle Bros") jump in with yet another episode of doom and gloom.

It's a public forum. If you don't like it, scroll on by or add him to your ignore list. You're just as complicit each time you reply. Tit for tat. All because you don't like somebody else's opinion. ( or whinge as you put it )

Put him on ignore then if it's a consistent issue for you

Well there is enough good info in the thread.  I would just skip over the rest.  It is no better or worse on the official forum.

The thread will be irrelevant soon anyway as the formal release nears.
I wish they could bring it forwards a little bit for everyone, as I don't know to any show-stoppers at the moment now the marketplace content issue has been cleared.
People in the beta are still reporting excellent performance. For me it is a joy to fly.

Some slight downsides.  The horizon line has 'changed' but for some people it is no better as they are now seeing a fine white line (I struggle to see it).
The ATR has taken a bit of a hit to some of the hydraulics logic apparently (I haven't flown it for a while).  Might need a plane update from the dev.
The white dot has gone for almost everyone except for some using an Xbox controller in certain situations.  (I can't test as I don't use one).

My feeling is that the update will be received quite positively in general, but you can't please everyone as we know.

I tried out the beta and seem to be having 1-2 second pauses in US PG areas that seem to linger until i get out of the areas. ( default scenery )

Plus sim CTD when exiting a flight and going back to main menu ( the 00000005 error log)

4090 DX12 .. everything seems fine on SU12.

Any comment on improvements for DX12 vs 11?

Lol, bruh, Jorg and Asobo are not going to do a bloody thing about DX12 in MS2020. The only way to see that beta tag drop off DX12 is to buy MS2024 and then I only give you a 50/50 word not allowed at best for it then.

Others constructive opinions are always welcome, but suggesting MS don't know what they are doing (despite the clear evidence they do), or suggesting things aren't fixed because they are at the beach, is derogatory whining (otherwise known as ignorance or immaturity).
