Not up to the lvl of the hotstart tbm in xp11 but quite good

There are very, very few planes up to that level.

I bought the plane last night, and I have a couple of questions - one likely dumb, the second hopefully less so:

  • How should I be using IAS mode? I couldn't find anywhere on the panel where my speed could be set. I also didn't find anything in the manual about it.

  • I spent most of the evening trying to set up a Spad.next profile for my HC Alpha/Bravo. I wasn't able to find the correct LVARs to change the mixture controls (I was trying to setup a custom axis to mimic the three positions). Has anyone else had any luck with this yet?

Aside from these issues, I'm really enjoying the plane so far. There's plenty to keep you busy in the cockpit compared to the 930.

Hi mate.  I have the Honeycomb gear but haven't used SPADnext for the TBM.  I found that the default deadzone for the condition lever was quite large so I move the lever two thirds forward for low idle.  The deadzone sits there and almost right to the bottom of the axis so there's no danger of pulling into cutoff when in low or high idle.  Hope this helps?

There is no place to set the speed. When you are at the speed you want to climb at, hit IAS and it’ll hold it.

First flight so far, great plane but it really needs an improvement in the PT6 Simulation.

1. Taxi Range is unusable, it needs too much throttle to break away and start rolling forward. Even Taxi range should be enough to taxi as that is the purpose.

2. Noticed not much TRQ decrease during climb to cruise level.

Im really glad to finally have an analog TBM so I hope the PT6 simulation gets improved and it will then be the perfect plane 😄

I’ve noticed that about a lot of planes in the sim. We taxied idle and still had to ride the brakes when I flew King Airs. In the Citation Excel, it’s just a slight touch of power and idle to taxi the rest of the way.

When I tried the CJ4 in the sim, it needed 40% just to get moving. Something is off with ground friction. Hope they fix it in 2024.

I'd say the WT G1000nxi is more advanced than xp's g1000.  But that's about it.

Are you planning N422AZ?

Hmmm.....wasn't planning it...but maybe. 🙂

Just noticed that @jankees painted it for the default 930....maybe he'll paint it for this beauty?

Thanks! I just tried it by using the IAS button in the plane itself, and it worked correctly. I think my issue is that I was pressing the IAS button on my hardware RSG GFC500 unit, and it's not correctly mapped (yet).

I thought the UP and DN buttons do that .

What about the Vnav, is it the same of the G1000?

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2020 (she's here, but...).

You still have to press the IAS button to capture your current indicated airspeed.

I took his question to be where he could pre-select an airspeed.

Has anyone had issues with fps dropping to single digits so far? Did my first flight today EDDK - LSGG, in VR. I have the TDS GTN in use. First thirty minutes went very well, everything nice and smooth. Then the stutters set in, had to abort the flight after fps became unflyable. Switching the radio master off and on again did not help. 17 13700, rtx 480, 32 gig RAM, Reverb G2

Regards

It's likely not related to the GTN, I thought so as well when I bought the Bonanza and the TDS GTN at the same time. Welcome to the club: https://community.justflight.com/topic/4718/a36-bonanza-weather-radar-causing-stutters/3
