I´m not sure what the green elevator trim markings are indicating - Takeoff trim range ?

If so, then I feel there is too much down trim for the takeoffs I have made so far.

Just got it and had a short flight, felt very detailed and good flight model. One thing I noticed is that the wheels are all sitting about 6 inches off the ground in external view (? contact points issue). Sorry couldn't get my imgur screenshot to post here. Also it seemed like a fair bit of breakaway thrust needed from parked...almost like there were chocks. A second flight starting from runway with everything ready for takeoff did not have that thrust issue.

I just took her up to FL300.  Everything went very well.  I noticed I needed HI Bleed to keep the cabin warm.  Otherwise, I didn't appear too green, lol.

One thing I was hoping for - better flight dynamics.  It reminds me of the Baron.  Both are very twitchy and give the impression they weight 400 pounds.  Also, both the Baron and TBM have landing lights that are almost undetectable in external view.  I would welcome come slightly heavier flight dynamics on both aircraft, since the Bonanza and Caravan are very good in this regard.  I also find it curious that most Black Square have volumetric lights, except the landing lights.  IOW, in the clouds at night, you can see the beacon and strobes flashing from the flight deck, but the landing lights don't illuminate the clouds.  I'm pretty sure A2A and PMDG/Fenix cast light on the clouds.  This really adds to the immersion to me.

Outside of those two complaints, the plane is beautiful in 4K, but all Black Square are very pretty and worth the purchase.

Aircraft is AMAZING - really enjoying it and the immersion.

Anyone though having reverser lagging after touchdown?  After touch down I can't get it to go into reverse until I'm below around 40 knots.

On the whole, I'm really excited, this is an amazing aircraft!

Yes, I've noticed the lag on reverse too, Jase.

Sounds seem somewhat on the quiet side to me, especially for beta / reverse range.

Hey Orlamm, I found it was a bit light on the controls too but I just adjusted the sensitivities and it feels right to me now. I find I usually have to adjust and create custom sensitivities for most of the planes I fly. With hardware being so diverse, it's probably hard for the developer to find the "correct" weight of controls and it has a subjective quality to it as well. But give the sensitivity change a try!

Yeah, I need to start creating profiles.  It's just such a hassle, lol

Agree. They've done an amazing job.  If they can look at those couple of items that would be great.  Now I'm back off to recreate some of Stevos previous flights.  Happy virtual flying mate.

Would you mind giving a real basic overview for everyone on how we go about creating custom sensitivities for an individual aircraft?

I'm having problems with mine. My digital numbers on my altimeter are blank. I can't enter alt pressure, as it's blank. I have redownloaded and the issue continues. Anyone else having this problem?

In settings / controllers I click on the controller (eg. yoke) and then click "open preset manager", then the 2 squares icon (duplicate) at the bottom of the page. This creates a second copy, which you can rename (eg. TBM 850 Yoke). From there, you can make custom adjustments just for that profile. For example, I usually change Y axis (pitch) and also X axis (roll) and then test / retest till it feels about right. In my case, I have set the TBM with Extremity Dead Zone (x) to 44% and (y) to 55%, but again your specific hardware and feel will determine what works best for you. I keep deadzones limited to 1 or 2% and usually keep sensitivities for x / y at 0 so there is a linear response.

Unfortunately, you can't designate specific controller profiles to load with particular aircraft (if possible, someone tell me :)). So you have to manually select the aircraft when loading and then select the hardware / controller profile you want to put with that aircraft each time.

Hope this helps

First flight so far, great plane but it really needs an improvement in the PT6 Simulation.

1. Taxi Range is unusable, it needs too much throttle to break away and start rolling forward. Even Taxi range should be enough to taxi as that is the purpose.

2. Noticed not much TRQ decrease during climb to cruise level.

Im really glad to finally have an analog TBM so I hope the PT6 simulation gets improved and it will then be the perfect plane 😄

I hope this small look into the engine damage modeling of this product has been interesting, if nothing else.  I am constantly reading these forums and looking for ideas for big improvements, or even just small convenience features to make someone's day.  Thank you all so much for your contributions, and feel free to contact Just Flight with any further suggestions or performance information that you might have.  Happy flying!

Hope this helps.

Thanks Scott for the extensive reply. Each dev has its own way to interpret things and put it then into a failure/maintenenace module. Therefore I can live with it as its following the BlackSquare known road. On the engine model especially with ITT and Torque decrease (or the lack of it) I will check some more and def get me a POH with charts to check a bit further. I'm not fully convinced and I've seen some more real world TP pilots feedback that point in the same direction 😉

One thing definetely please take along is that the current Beta implementation needs some more work (especially to get the TBM rolling). Following the prerelease threads is was implemented quite late before release and needs to mature a bit.

Cheers and Thanks

T.

Also regarding the takeoff trim setting. Setting the rudder trim to the recommended takeoff range made for a very sketchy takeoff roll. The flightmodel seems to not have enough yaw tendency to the left  when on takeoff power.
