January 2, 20242 yr Fenix can take all time they want. Some of the highlights of this update for me: if you think you can see the tyres compressing under the weight of the aircraft, you're not imagining it: we spent quite some time building a soft-body physics system for the tyres. They will deform under load, including sidewall deformation on the nose wheel tyres if you make a tight turn at a speed that make even Max Verstappen would wince. ..... A couple of close ups showing the engine in detail; everything from subtle panel deformation due to the heat cycling of the engine, to the dirt being pushed out of the panel seams by the air-stream in flight. You'll see this a lot around the new exterior in Block 2: physically accurate, physics-driven weathering. The dirt accumulates in the panel seams usually due to rain and water droplets capturing dust and dirt on the aircraft, and drawing it down with gravity until it reaches a seam. This dirt-filled-water is then pushed out of the seams by the high speed airflow in flight, leaving a streak in it's wake. Depending on where the dirt has accumulated, it may contain dust particles or even oil, which will leave a different surface deposit, with oil being a little more reflective and viscous, affecting how it streaks across the surface of the aircraft. ..... if visuals aren't your thing, I know Aamir is already planning a deep-dive on the new systems and simulation aspects. Again, I wish we were pushing more than just screenshots to you today, but as you can see we are committed to delivering something that you will enjoy flying for the next 5 years and beyond Edited January 2, 20242 yr by lwt1971 Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD

Aamir already mentioned you could encounter and cause compressor stalls, which is frankly new in PC civilian simming. It's honestly mind boggling how far they're pushing the envelope. I dunno what Aamir is paying his team but it's not enough. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. January 2, 20242 yr Just when you think development has flattened out, Fenix raise the bar again. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.
January 2, 20242 yr Have you seen this beyond beautiful indirect gloomy illumination of that yellow-golden night integral light, and no longer baked-in fake shadows but real shadow casting inside the cockpit??? These DEVELOPMENT GODS have literally implemented raytracing effects in the new Fenix cockpit!!! Impressive, absolute top-tier!
January 3, 20242 yr Im just hoping they fix the handling so all the techniques, stick forces i used in the real A320 will at least be close as opposed to where it is now ie completely inaccurate. Hard to believe they are more focused on tyre float than things like accurate pitch rates, decel times etc. When the LTVFR modded Airbus feels more like the real jet to hand fly than the Fenix they do have a long way to go. January 3, 20242 yr Just wandering will it be possible to install the Block 2 in parallel with Block 1?

LoL stick forces you used to the real world to a 60$ piece of software. Post can not be taken seriously then you mention LVFR makes it even more of a joke. Edited January 3, 20242 yr by JBDB-MD80
January 3, 20242 yr I bought this beautiful plane last month I hope they fix the tiller problem with my CH Yoke, on the ground I have no control of turning left or right. Under assistance options in the simulator the auto rudder is greyed out along with many other options. 10700kf, 3080 nividia, 32gbs 3400mhz, 1,000 watts power, M.2 DVMe !tb, boot, 1tb 7200rpm, storage, windows 10 home

I learned long ago that every RW pilot firmly believes their opinion isn't subjective. Remember when that Airbus youtuber said the Fenix didn't auto-flare enough during flare and it turned out that the pilot just didn't understand how the airbus logic worked? I bet you could sync a joystick and pedals so that they remotely control a real A320 and have a line pilot fly the thing from home believing it was Fenix Block 2, and they'd come back and tell you the flight envelope needs work. In my experience no two planes of the same type fly the same. You really have to learn to be comfortable will ballpark figures, especially when using the POH. Of the four 172's I fly now, I don't use the exact same techniques for any of them. One needs no rudder in a power off stall. One needs right rudder. Etc. How could you ever "get it right" in a sim?
