Seriously, how is any of that (amongst many of the other features to come) considered to be "wasting time and money" or "[stuff that] simmers would not understand either or care for"?

Absolutely.. keep in mind the three or four posts right before yours are by the usual suspects and full of the usual nonsense (let alone non-sequiturs) and laughably predictable narrative-pushing attempts 🙂

All the improvements coming in Fenix's Block 2 will be anything but a waste, and can't come soon enough (https://fenixsim.com/blog/entries/2023-05-19_anniversary/). As is everything else in the works both in the base sim, default fleet, 3rd party add-ons, and MSFS 2024. Realism improvements in all areas from flight to avionics to world rendering & visuals etc etc.. such is the beauty of MSFS where we don't have to worry about either-or propositions of what aspects of a sim get to be made more realistic at the expense of others.

You can't have all you team working on one part of the code, that's impossible in software development. Many times it's not even possible to have even more than a one single person working on one part of the code. If it was that easy, the major developers (e.g. Aerosoft *cough*) would just hire 30 extra coders and churn out 2 study level aircraft per month and swim in money. That's not how software development goes, unfortunately.
So instead of having half the team sitting on idle, they decided to have them work the A319 and A321 in the meantime and do other improvements to the A320 (like tire compression), while the rest was working on solving the major roadblocks with the engine model.
I mean do you think PMDG had all their team working on an EFB for over a year? No, it was likely just one or two persons and the major part was doing the 777 in the meantime.

Well the nose is wrong people have been saying and other things that are wrong like the flare but hey. At least they are making it better which people want. You may not understand or care but a lot certainly do. People are struggling on 40 series card with performance I don't know how but since upgrading I can get in excess of 50+ and its smooth. MSFS FPS states around 60FPS. Xbox game bar says 80+.It is obvious how much people care....

I asked on their discord and as far as I understood the 319/321 are not part of block 2 and will be released after that.

Well some of us refuse to use discord they could give us a little info outside of their sandbox. Avsim would be a good choice. Maybe not. They said weeks release not month's on Jan 1 now it is Feb 2.
