I did not "give up" as your statement says. I have stage 4 cancer and if health ever allows again I would be there seeking to improve things.

All the best Robert!

Something has happened to my flight controls. I can accelerate down the runway in a straight line, but as soon as I touch my CH Flightstick Pro joystick, the aircraft starts to turn hard left, and is totally uncontrollable. Does anyone know what may have happened? I have calibrated the joystick again without success. I have also tried a different aircraft, and that has exactly the same problem.

EDIT: On a side note.....my very best wishes to you, Rob.

Rob,
I wish you well and I'm grateful for your work. I witnessed some "discussions" and I sought that didn't sit well.
Anyhow, I don't have enough words to express my gratitude for your work.

When you are sitting in the cockpit and move the stick side to side,  do the controls in the cockpit follow?

And in the exterior view, do the surfaces move correctly?

I have good news to report. Reverting back to default and then reconfiguring the controls appears to have worked. Even better, some adjustments that have been provided for me by another AVSIM user have made the plane feel a lot more realistic. In particular, the "bounce" in the pitch has been virtually eliminated

I think whoever devised the controller settings in MSFS must have either been eating magic mushrooms or smoking pot!

First quick circuit completed in the DA62, but I realised on final approach that I could not see the runway over the dashboard! That resulted in a very dodgy low approach where I had to keep dipping the nose to see where I was!! I have since identified the key that elevates my sitting position, so hopefully I will be OK next time.

The graphics are very nice for default, and I am rather impressed with the quality/detail/texture resolution of the autogen buildings. They are orders of magnitude better than the autogen buildings in P3D.

Aw man.  I'm so sorry you're having to go through this Rob!  My dad was just diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic last month.  It's been a shock to my family.

We just want you to improve your health and you shouldn't have to focus or reply to people insinuating that you "gave up." Please take care of yourself.

We are all here for you, sir.

Christopher did you apply a change to the pitch axis stability in a similar way as you did with the Yaw axis?
I have just recently installed MSFS and I'm trying to get to grips with the UI and control settings. I'm using a mixture of the MSFS control inputs and FSUIPC. One annoying issue I have in FSUIPC is disappearing view setting that I have mapped to a hat switch. That may have been an issue with Windows file permissions.

I notice that the Cessna Longitude has quite an annoying bounce in pitch, similar to what you described, and I am hoping that I can just vary a pitch stability setting (unless there is an inertia setting as found in .air files on other sims if my memory serves me correctly). I haven't really tried anything "under the hood" yet. I am simply enjoying the eye candy for the moment.

Cheers
