SWS PC-12 Pilatus - problems

Hey George, I beleive the Warthog is assigned by default as a recognised controller in MSFS. Why not try assigning a couple of things through MSFS rather than FSUIPC to narrow down possible problem areas.

Good morning Howard,

I followed through on your suggestion, and assigned the elevators, ailerons and rudder through MSFS rather than FSUIPC - and that worked - so thanks. Just one query. When I am on the ground and I use the joystick to operate the ailerons, the rudder is engaged - this does not happen in the air. Is this supposed to be the case?

I have of course double checked that I do not have duplicate bindings

Thats a realworld design feature of the PC12. SWS did mention that in one of their posts: [...]The PC-12 has an aileron-rudder interconnect system. The rudder and ailerons are mechanically linked so moving one will also move the other. The purpose of that is to help with adverse yaw and coordinate the turns more easily. While in the air the effect is much more subtle, but enough to make controlling the plane much easier.[...]

Cheers T.

I had an early morning flight from Buochs airfield in Switzerland (home base of Pilatus) with the updated PC12 and SU14. It was a sensational experience seeing the misty and low clouds sky between high mountains and the beautifully designed SWS PC12. In my opinion SU14 (atmospherics) as well as the PC12 are performing very well. IN CONCLUSION: The PC12 is not 100% ready yet but has a lot of potential and certainly will become my favorite turboprop. Being a real world pilot I especially like the flight model as well as the cockpit of this PC12.

The rudder, ailerons or tablet are still not working.

Do you know that the tablet is not functional yet?   You're not missing anything.

It can be used with an additional download called "Sky4sim", but that's something different - it's not an EFB dedicated to this aircraft.

And yes, as said by the other guys above, the ailerons and rudder are supposed to be connects, as they are interlinked in the real aircraft.

Hi there, i still have no solution for the rudder and and aileron, but i found out that is is caused by FSUIPC as well by other external software like Axis and ohs. Look here if you are using Axis and  Ohs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5SF9-UdEVY&t=352s by JayDee. in German. Timestamp 07:12  Maybe anybody is finding a solution for FSUIPC users. Would be great .

For FSUIPC/Spad/AAO users, if you don't want the default bindings you have to use these L:vars:
ARI_RudderInput for the pedals
ARI_AileronInput for the rudder

Regardless of preferred setup, make sure you use linear response curves.

Watch this video..  May help a lot of problems in this post.

So, I have a Saitek yoke and for the life of me, I cannot get the ailerons axis to be recognized inside the sim, except for Aileron Left and Aileron Right, and they are extremely slow to respond. Can someone please explain this LVar  assigning in fsuipc? I have never needed to do it before, and it's a shame I just spent 30 bucks and can't set up my controls. Elevator axis works, Rudder axis works, but not ailerons. I have uninstalled, reinstalled with the update, and still, I have been only able to roll the aircraft with the rudder. ....just wow

Thanks for the information.

Is there an L_var value I can use for the condition lever?

I used this edit to the model.cfg file but have no idea how it effects the flight model as the rudder and ailerons are interconnected IRL

Tried this in SPAD but I can only get half the range (center to full right) - Giving up.
