Yes, I worry that simmers are getting suckered, and other devs see that this model works, and that becomes the norm.

The only thing simmer can do is to vote with the wallet! For example I still don't understand why people pay for Captain Sim LOL But they do!

Just like anything else expressions such as like "early access" or "study level" are very subjective terms and can be easily manipulated as it fit. For example ERJ has WX radar, PMDG doesn't. PMDG call call it limitation of current state MSFS and not realistic enough to put it in. But when it comes to LNAV that overshoots waypoint is good enough because it's not LEVEL D sim ! LOL You see ?  So what we can we call PMDG an early access now ?  LOL I guess it depends !

I actually think there are only developers that actually delivered complete products but those products not yet complex airliners. A2A is one of few that coming first to mind. Everything else is to me an artistic representation. Yes, I'm all for realism and push it as far as it can go in MSFS. But lets be honest none of airliners ever to come in MSFS ever get us RW type rating ! So unless any of us flying real counterpart we just pretend we know realism based on what we read and saw.   So take it or leave, simmer must learn how to thrust and invest in hobby. There is also a thing like patience and "to give someone a chance".  PMDG didn't build their airliners in one year, did they? They started back 1997 and still being highly criticized for shortcomings!  FSS started just last year  and here sophisticated simmers worry about scam. LOL Give them 26 years like PMDG had and then I'll buy your argument ! LOL

PMDG is being criticised for not living up to the high standards they set themselves over those 26 years, for being surpassed in some aspects by a bunch of freeware devs, and for the hyper sensitivity displayed on their own forums.
Otherwise, while some of it is undeserved, there's a lot of praise for them and their work.

FSS is being criticised for having no reputation and currently expecting $35 for an alpha state aircraft whose strobes still don't work, and where trying to change anything the MFD causes CTDs.

BlueBird Sim is also a new dev to the scene who has delayed their 757 product launch based on feedback that it should be more detailed.
Looking at their YouTube videos, they have listened and, fingers crossed, we hope to see a fitting recreation of the 757 and 767.

I know which type of newcomer developer I prefer to see more of.

Yeah but BlueBird Sim have been around in the like of FSX with Posky if I remember correctly. I know which E Jet I would like and that would not be Virtualcol.

The lead dev and CEO Sherv is certainly not new to the scene...but yes the company "BlueBird" is.  I have full confidence that Bluebird's releases will be great.

So I have FSS Ejet. Not having VNAV is disappointing . But I must say I never had a single CTD. And having FLC makes my brain work better lol

I ventured to Europe several times this year and got to fly ERJ several times as well. With all criticism I wish developer to get a grip and get it done . So I opted to give them a shot . It’s my choice and so if they fail it is my tab .

I bought in early. But I regret it. Little progress seems to have been made and I do not believe they are competent to make any.

Odd. Some of use may feel differently about this. They are improving it and even have a schedule set up for the next updates. It does take time. I got this around Mid-Sep so my results may vary.
