iniBuilds Manager has issues

Featured Replies

It's such a buggy programme:
- purchased products (new OMDB) not appearing even after purchasing
- constant errors about 'wrong username and password' when they were both correct
- taking forever to load
- crashing
I've not had any issues with any other app, but this one is rubbish

I agree.  Lot's of issues with the program.  I also can't stand the UI

Better than when it first launched (when I said it was the worst e-commerce platform I had ever seen in the FSElite comments and was dragged by them for not providing more constructive criticism), but yes, it routinely fails to download things, gets "stuck," is slow, and uses an ungodly amount of resources. I clocked it at 4GB of page file and 15% CPU usage when it was trying to download a GSX profile... for an hour...

It's unbelievably bad. Can't checkout with products, just hangs, buffers for ages apparently trying to load something, is incredibly difficult to navigate and most importantly doesn't provide you with the products that you have ALREADY purchased. It's useless.

I have an issue where several airports such as KLAX, etc. show up again under “my products” as needing to be updated, even though I have the most recent update already. Also, when I bought PHNL a couple of days ago, it didn’t show up for a couple of hours. I checked my order at the Inibuilds site, and it said “unfulfilled.” It show up finally later that afternoon. It’s definitely the worst of the managers.

Cheers, Pete

It's being overwhelmed but the amount of people trying to buy OMDB (and maybe the airports on discount)

In between major releases it's fine.

I have no problem with it. Have purchased several sceneries including Kennedy international, Honolulu etc.

I also have not experienced these issues with the app. I remember when I bought Honolulu there was a delay before I got the download, but it was not that long. I do suspect as Tuskin38 said that today there may be strain from demand with people downloading OMDB and other sceneries on sale.

It has always been buggy for me. When trying to buy something I always have to use the search function since I get an empty list when trying to browse for addons.
Also, it often takes too long before new purchases arrive in the "my products" list. On the other hand, for updates it works quite well.

I think OrbX has the best addon manager, with Aerosoft a close second although their installation process could do with a few less mouseclicks.

Contrail is not doing a bad job either. I like that it that they also list addons that are installed but not purchased through them.

Simmarket has the worst system IMHO, it is messy and most addons need to be installed manually, but it is somewhat better than all those webshops that do not have any kind of addon manager. Some of them at least send out e-mails about updates for products but there are quite a few where you just have to visit their Discord channel to find out whether there are any updates or not.

I agree.  I have had a ridiculous problem recently where it gets to 90% complete, then back down to about 40% again.  This happens in an endless loop, and with various products.  Updates as well.

I cleared out the IniManager caches and even reinstalled the program and it still happened again.  In the end, I switched to an old 5mbs landline connection, and it took forever, but it did finish downloading everything.

The program is definitely a bit anti-clever, and it will influence me buying anything from them in future.

I purchased IniBuilds EIKY Kerry this morning using the IniManager, and it worked fine.

Can I ask the speed of you internet connection Chris?

It appears that my fast connection (up to 250Mbs) has problems with IniManager, but my old slow landline connection works fine with it, it just takes forever to download anything then of course due to the slow speeds involved.
The fast connection is fine for everything else.  I downloaded the Just Flight Vulcan package in about 10 minutes, and that was nearly 5Gig!

I have seen other people on line having the download problems (nearly finishes then bounces back to a low percentage) and Ini technical couldn't seem to solve it.  In the end they had to sent them to a direct download link.

I have had issues in the past, but recently my experience has been good. I made two purchase's  in the past 2 days, both went through fine.
