BMWorld & AmSim Release Miami KMIA!

The LatinVFR KMIA has some other buildings in Miami with it -- unless I'm mistaken.  So I wonder what I'll *lose* by installing the BMWorld/AmSim version?

I don't own SamScene3D USA Modern Cities Vol 1.  is why I'm wondering.

That's right, the LatinVFR's KMIA has downtown Miami, but according to the pictures I've seen from SamScene3D Modern Cities Vol. 1, this last one have more buildings and better textures. I only own the LVFR KMIA

Cheers, Ed

Hopefully @LatinVFR is still in the scenery biz…

They're not.

I was waiting for Minneapolis, but Miami is much more relevant. I'll buy this tomorrow.

I think he meant that BMWorld might have shelved the project after Flightbeam rushed theirs to market. I don't think there is a developer I would choose over Flightbeam at the present time.

That said, the pictures of KMIA look great so if performance is indeed acceptable I may go ahead and switch out my KMIA.

What are you talking about? Flightbeam has releases KMSP for MSFS a few months ago? Are you trolling or something?

everybody got their wires crossed.  He meant the amsim MSP shots that were shown months ago.  Yes we all agree it's a moot point now that Flightbeam beat them to market.

At first glance, this looks nice and better than the LVFR version which was pretty old and a straight port from P3D.  A lot of nice details and it appears my Samscene Modern Cities Miami is working fine with it.  Not sure if I'd be able to tell if some of the BMWAmsim buildings were mixed in or not..??  One thing I noticed is that the gates do not appear to be coded for airlines....AI seemed scattered everywhere.  I will have to do a flight to check performance but I was locked at 30 in PMDG 738 at the gate and fairly smooth with drone camera also without any AI traffic.

Too bad, that's a deal killer for me.

Oooh! That sounds promising!

Would you mind updating us again after your second and third visit to/from KMIA, please? You may notice some other pros and/or cons.

I think that's a common complaint of their work. May be improved at a later date, but detail is definitely dropped for haste.
