February 15, 20242 yr No accurate afcad-type stuff? How poor. I wonder if it has El Dorado Furniture modelled? If you have done (night) cargo flights out of LVFR KMIA on Runway 9 you know what I'm talking about. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

I'm talking about El Dorado Furniture outlet on NW 12th St. It has this prominent neon red sign in the LVFR scenery, it's like a landmark if you're taking off from Runway 9 at least in the LVFR scenery. February 16, 20242 yr For those wondering how this works with SamScene's Modern Cities Vol. 1 scenery... I took screenshots of downtown Miami, Brickell and some bridges with four different configurations: Default photogrammetry only, AmSim/BMW KMIA only, SamScene Modern Cities Vol. 1 only, AmSim/BMW KMIA and SamScene together and came to the following conclusions: - Default photogrammetry looks fine from a distance - AmSim/BMW KMIA does NOT seem to add any buildings to the photogrammetry, as the screenshots in four different parts of Miami are identical in the first two configurations - Modern Cities makes Miami look a TON better, as I think most already knew - The combination of the two sceneries works well as the KMIA scenery doesn't seem to add any buildings (and Modern Cities take precedence) Performance seemed good, but I wasn't flying and had not traffic turned on. I find the airport to be a very very nice upgrade from the LVFR one (I'm running the HD textures configuration). Edited February 16, 20242 yr by mmcmah

I know the area _somewhat_, but would like to understand what you're talking about. I do know of El Dorado Furniture easily visible turning into Rwy 09 from the West U and East U cargo areas at KMIA. In the LVFR scenery this is modelled, it's a very prominent red neon sign (at night) for El Dorado Furniture. Just wondering if that's in this new scenery. 87th Ave. isn't near the airport at all, from what I can tell on the maps. Or is the business you're talking about called "87th Avenue" or something like that? What is it, and is it visible on short final to Rwy 09? Is it a business of ill-repute or something? I just did a night flight into KMIA. I did the BNFSH2 STAR that comes in from the north. When I was about 20 miles out, all of the green taxiway centerline lights popped into view. A literal sea of green lights from 20 miles out is no good. They also had a shimmering effect to them as well. Otherwise, the approach was smooth and only noticed my frames dropping on about a 2 mile final. Once I started taxiing, I had some really bad frames down to 10 which never happens for me. I was facing towards the city and I do have Samscene Miami so cannot rule that out although never had that happen with LVFR version. This is with light FSLTL traffic (20 IFR, 30 parked). It then disappeared and went back to 20-30 but it was definitely not consistent. I think they need to look at the taxiway lights...something is not right with them as you should not see them at all until maybe short final. Even on the ground they have an odd shimmer to them. I am not sure where to give them feedback, does anyone know if they have a Discord or anything? There is a sea of green that should not be so bright and confusing. Here are a couple of screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/kgLQRGA. If you figure out how to give them feedback, please let me know.

No, they did not model it....it's a mediocre photogrammetry building and no neon sign. LVFR also did the Hilton hotel and some of the other close buildings....BMWAmsim did not model any of those..... Yup...anyone that likes to fly at night and already owns LVFR may want to hold off on buying this to see if the taxiway lighting issue is fixed. I may actually switch back to LVFR as the night environment is much more pleasing.... Eric i9-12900k, RTX 5070ti OC, 32GB ddr5 5600 RAM, 2TB 980 Pro SSD, Titan 240RX AIO, Samsung CRG90 49", Win 11
