Which MSFS airport has the best INTERIOR?

Featured Replies

Of all MSFS airports -- default, freeware, and payware -- which has the best interior views inside the terminal and other airport buildings and structures?

Why are you asking this here on Avsim?!

Don't you know that proper-serious flight simmers™ don't care for eye candy and other superfluous graphical detail?
Go ask the kiddies, gamers and Ctrl+E flight simmers over on Reddit / MyFace and TokTik instead!  😉 [/sarcasm]

Serious answer: possibly any UK airport scenery by Pyreegue, iniBuilds' EGHI or KJFK, or Jo Erlend Sund's (via Aerosoft) EBBR.

AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; MSI RTX 3080 Ti ; 32GB Corsair 3200 MHz; ASUS VG35VQ 35" (3440 x 1440)
Fulcrum One yoke; Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack Airbus edition; MFG Crosswind rudder pedals; miniCockpit FCU; CPFlight MCP 737; Logitech FIP x3; TrackIR

MSFS; Fenix A320; A2A PA-24; HPG H145; PMDG 737-600; AIG; RealTraffic; PSXTraffic; FSiPanel; REX AccuSeason Adv; FSDT GSX Pro; FS2Crew RAAS Pro; FS-ATC Chatter

Pyreegue’s Belfast for me. I also like what iniBuilds did with Leeds Bradford as well.

All I want is a nice windsock, flags that blow in the breeze and good looking outside representations.

clearly must be EDLP if even Austin Meyer is waiting at the gate to board the MSFS ATR

NZWN (Wellington) by Flightbeam. I have passaged through Wellington Airport many times and I can say that Flightbeam Studio's rendition and attention to detail is well done! It's pretty much like the real thing.

NZWN is not one of those massive concrete jungles of large airports but it oozes tons of character and is not a bad place to wait for a flight, munching on croissant and coffee or enjoying some peanuts and a beer, all while watching plenty of arrivals and departures. The giant eagle hanging from the roof is from the Hobbits second movie, The Desolation of Smaug (if that's of any interest).

Cheers

No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.

Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower!

Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-10700 CPU @2.90Ghz, 32GB RAM,  NVIDEA GeForce RTX 3060, 12GB VRAM, Samsung QN70A 4k 65inch TV with VRR 120Hz Free Sync (G-Sync Compatible).

Boeing Thrustmaster TCA Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, Turtle Beach Velocity One Rudder Pedals.

I've mentioned it before but Drzewiecki Design's KDCA is the best I've seen. During the golden hour the interiors are stunning.

B450 Tomahawk Max / Ryzen 7 5800x3D / RTX 3060ti 8G / Noctua NH-UI21S Max Cooling / 32G Patriot RAM / 1TB NVME / 450G SSD / Thrustmaster TCA & Throttle Quadrant / Xiaomi 32" Wide Curved Monitor 1440p 144hz

There’s really no need to discuss this further, FlyTampa’s KBOS is the winner, with its rendition of a secret portal to another dimension!

I wish they had put the resources into optimizing the airport for better performance instead.

But... it's a secret portal. To another dimension? How many other 3rd party airports have this? I'd venture to guess: none.

The one that gives an option to disable it?😝
