MSFS airac doesn't provide all necessary data that is needed.

if your last airac installed in msfs  is navigraph 2302 airac (the last one i have installed when i had the subscription) , i think is better if FSHUD uses it than  the obsolete 2101

@worgul I think it’s 1.3.361 from April 19 (just checked the FSHud forum).

I’m very happy with FSHud at the moment (latest beta).

There’s one thing though, that I can’t figure out. Whenever I use it while recording a video, at some stage the audio gets completely messed up. I.e. ATC voices extremely loud, then back to normal, then loud etc. IIRC it also messes up the sim sounds. For some reason it’s fine when not recording (happens both with Nvidia and OBS, and even when FSHud volume is off).

It’s such a pity, as I really prefer using FSHud on all my flights, it adds so much to the immersion. I really should be posting this on the official forum, but I always forget to do so.

As said previously - many of NavData parameters are completely missing in MSFS built-in AIRAC and it's just impossible to use it - no matter how new it is.

Hi . I have just had a flight with FS Hud after mothballing it for a few months and its working much better for sure. The Balancer works well and the FPS hit is reduced. Glad to see it improving and so much better than default ATC

One question I usually like to have FS ATC Chatter working in the background but for some reason it wont connect and I wonder if thats down to having to turn off all the in game atc options? If any of you have both working please let me know as its nice to have some extra chatter going on in the background.

Thanks

Thank you! we are keep working on improvements.

Personally saying - never understood FS ATC Chatter or similar software 🙂
Why don't you just open YouTube on background like this (correct me if I'm wrong):

I have been using FS ATC Chatter and it works great. Just go to settings\radios\:

I checked off the first 3 boxes. I think the first 2 would suffice though. Then when in the cockpit I tune COM2 to 123.275 to get the appropriate controller type. You can adjust the volume up or down to suit your needs. I have it set a bit lower than FSHud Controller so as not to drown out FSHud. I can still hear the background chatter and follow FSHud instructions. Hope you can get it up and running.

Does FS Hud inject and control GA traffic, using AIG files for example?

No. I use FSHud with AIG but I only see airliner type aircraft doing IFR flights.

I've seen some business jets. Not sure if they come from AIG or FSLTL.

I'd call those airliner type aircraft too. 😉 I meant to say that FSHud only controls planes that fly IFR using more or less advanced navigation systems. You won't see FSHud controlling a Piper Comanche or a C172.

There are biz jets with scheduled flightplans in AIG, so they will likely count in the same category as airliners for FsHud.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

any trick to match the TOD of the EFB plane with the TOD of fshud atc? , in the last flight atc told me to strat the descent very early respect  the altitudes of EFB (pdmg 737)

thanks

Don't think so but afaik FSHud tells you to descent when ready: it doesn't say descent NOW. I usually wait with descending until I reached my TOD. I interpret what FSHud says as 'Descent when you see fit.'

another thing i have observed, my cruise altitude is 24000 (simbrief FP) , why the atc when i am flying about 10 minutes at 24000 feet, tell me to continues ascend to 32.000 feet, if my cruise altitude is 24000?.

And is there a way to match criuse altitude of FP with ATC cruise altitude?

thnaksss

I downloaded and installed FSHud beta today, but thought I'd first test this concept with GA aircraft that had flightplans to see if it might recognize and control GA aircraft.

To do this, I installed Corsten's GA Mod found here with his instructions: https://flightsim.to/file/51413/gamod-offline-version

Once I fired MSFS up, I then set the sim traffic to "off", and when firing up FSHud I then checked the 'bgl' box only, just to test the GA traffic (the mod above disables the default traffic.bgl file and replaces it with its own files that contains only GA aircraft/plans).

It takes a few minutes to load, but soon the sky had roughly a dozen or so GA traffic that also appeared in the FSHud app's 'Flight Timetable' section.  Since those aircraft appeared in that section, that leads me to believe the app recognizes and controls them as well--hence, one can have GA traffic controlled by FSHud in addition to the user's airline traffic (which, in my case, I then added by also checking the 'FSLTL' box).

Ultimately I won't know for sure until I'm actually flying (or taxiing and the ATC actually has me hold short for a GA aircraft--or they hold short for me---for example), but it might be worth checking out.  I could be totally wrong, but it looks plausible to me so far since the app "sees" these planes and their flight plans.
