Did I say that? P3D has a lot more.

Well that's how I read it.  Have another read of your original post.  Maybe I've just read it wrong.

I probably didn't word it the best. I meant there are study level aircraft we have in P3D that's not available in MSFS2020 yet, so that's why some people still use P3D along with MSFS2020

And we have a lot more than that in P3D

My point is that MSFS is not just eye candy. It evolving and providing more and more high quality add ons. P3D is only good on for now until those add on airplane that missing in MSFS will migrate there.  MSFS stock G300 and G1000 nxi are  umatched with any sim. And more complex avionic updates to come in nearest future.

Yeah, you are only about the eye candy! Functions are second place

Yeah that was a bit out of place. You can't tell Bob he ONLY cares about eye candy just because he wants to use a sim that doesn't look like it was made in 2014. It's not like MSFS has no high fidelity aircraft and just because P3D has more, it doesn't mean he HAS to use it.

So how is the Q400 coming along for MSFS?

It's like watching the VHS holdouts, clinging on just before DVD drops.

Did you ever sit in a full motion level D simulator? you'll be surprised at the level of graphics. It's all a matter of priorities...

I've been scammed by the E175. Which is still a year away from VNAV. So I'll pass on this methinks.

And what does a Level D simulator have to do with Prepar3D, where everything flies like it's on stilts? That's not the comparison you want to make.

No, I am referring to the focus on graphics and graphics alone by so many.

Besides, can you elaborate "flying on rails"? did you check the effects of wind or turbulence of flight behavior? did you check the effects of inertia? can you name an example of the model you had checked? or maybe...just maybe you are just regurgitating stuff? See, in order to make such statements , one needs some basic understanding in aerodynamics or some minimal experience in aviation  - of which I suspect you have none.

Then you quoted the wrong guy. I made a comparison between old technology and new technology that replaced it. Wasn't talking about graphics but the platform as a whole.

And I suspect you are too invested in defending P3D if you are gonna sit here and tell me the flight dynamics were good.

But I think my VHS holdout comment hit a nerve.

What does Majestic have to do with the E175...? Also the Q400 has no VNAV in real life (just advisory IIRC). Also this is still at least one year away, so what are you basing your decision on right now?

If I had a full motion level D simulator at home, I'd probably not be using MSFS. I think most can agree on that. But does that add anything to the discussion about whether someone uses MSFS except for the fact that he apparently has no full motion simulator at home? P3D and XPL are just as far away from a full motion certified sim as is MSFS, for various reasons.
