I'll definitely do one of those! Hard to decide... but I've flown into ENSH before, and the offset approach in ENLK looks interesting, so I'll probably go for that! I see there's a great freeware scenery, too. 👍

Have fun 😀 Even though these are default airports, the scenery is quite spectacular.

I've just discovered that Leknes ENLK was added as a handcrafted airport in WU15, as was Mo i Rana ENRA. Some screenshots on a German-language site here. They both look very nice! So it's a given that I have to visit both of those.

ENRA to ENLK is about 100 miles, and then ENLK to Tromsø ENTC is about 150, so those are both good leg lengths.

And then from there maybe Hammerfest ENHF or Honningsvåg Valan ENHV. We'll see!

I'm not totally sure where this information comes from, but that is not accurate. At the core is, the sim does not support hot swapping avionics. We have advised developers against utilizing hot

  • I'd say FlySimWare Cessna 414 if it can't be the Duke.

Both Leknes and Mo i Rana looks great! I've got payware Svolvaer ENSH which has a fun approach (with spectacular views of course). I think Honningsvåg Valan is a great destination when flying North - make sure to do a circuit over Nordkapp, which is surprisingly well modelled.

All are great destinations in the Dukes of course! When I'm done making VoxATC beta previews in airliners (as I believe that most people that use ATC addons prefer airliners), I'll do some more flights in Norway. My favourite regions: 1) Lofoten Islands 2) Southwest Norway around Ålesund

In that case, I guess you've convinced me -- Honningsvåg Valan it is. And I do have ambitions of pushing further north to Svalbard. If I can't land for some reason, I will of course have to go all the way back -- but it should be within the range limits of the Duke.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. Next stop is ENRA -- but have some other things to take care of, so I definitely won't make it there before next week.

I’m using this scenery for Honningsvåg. Blue skies and happy landings!

Just saw this on the official forums:

This is from the upcoming v1.1 changelog:

"In addition to correcting turbocharger critical altitude and improving performance beyond it, the severity of the turbocharger’s overly-rich mixture falloff curve was reduced, thanks to new performance options available in the configuration files. As a result, you can expect that engine performance will now degrade slowly as you climb beyond the critical altitude with an overly rich mixture. Combustion should not cease, so long as you maintain full throttle while climbing up to the service ceiling; however, a significant reduction of throttle at those altitudes may still result in a total loss of power."

In addition, the update will also increase the accuracy of the performance. No concrete date is given for the update to be released, but they say it should only be a week or so.

And that was four days ago.

Excellent! @sloppysmusic should be happy about this 🙂

I have two issues with the Duke(s), probably due to my old age. 🥳

1/ I am struggling to keep a decent cabin temperature. Cabin heating knobs don't seem to work as they should.
2/ Century IV Autopilot: sometimes the AP don't follow the GPS when in Nav Mode.

Any idea?

You have to use the pressurized air temp knobs below the right-hand yoke.  Once you see the temp not holding you can slowly start pulling them out to add additional warm air.

Not sure on #2...have not had that happen as of yet...

Confirm the GPS / VLOC button at the top left of the panel is set to GPS?

🏆🎸🧑‍✈️🤸‍♂️🛫

The squeaky wheel gets the grease! Boy DID I squeak 😇.

That's brilliant news. I had confidence BS would fix it as it WAS a problem and those devs have a deserved reputation for promptly supporting/improving their products. JustFlight/BlackSquare is a winning combo I'm happy to spend money on.

You were indeed right all along... and as I had doubts, I shall retreat to Dagobah and re-think my life... maybe I'll buy some death sticks as I'm probably going to check out that cave Luke was talking about 🙂

But seriously, I have a lot of faith in Black Square - one of the best devs out there (Fenix Simulations and JustFlight should also be mentioned) I.M.O.

Then I don't really have any good ideas...

Which GPS are you using? Can you share a screenshot that shows the problem happening?

That depends very much on the GPS you are using. If it's PMS you leave that switch alone and change it on the GTN itself. Not sure for the TDS / GNS though .. .. but I would assume that the GNS goes by the switch, else it's kind of pointless..
