July 16, 20241 yr Actually $26. Don't buy TS4 alone for $40, when the Scotsman package already includes the identical TS4 plus the Scotsman, and the ECML route. That route includes tons of tutorials, scenarios, and a couple modern engines, and is only $10 for the lot. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

You need the third party UEVR injector to get it to run in VR, and there are a few quirks and issues. It is very enjoyable once you get it working and configured properly, but it is not just plug and play like MSFS VR is. Just so everyone is aware of that before buying.
July 16, 20241 yr High Speed Rail USA. Was the zillions to build it a good idea/ I don't know, but it looks great in VR. Classic Train Simulator a hassle in 3D. TSW easier. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. July 16, 20241 yr JB is correct about it requires set up with 3rd party stuff. Derail Valley is native VR but is a primitive game. But for instance you can see your hands to work the controls. I have never used this sim and did not even know about it until a couple days ago. https://store.steampowered.com/app/588030/Derail_Valley/ Edited July 16, 20241 yr by Fielder 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. (A lot of the TrainSimWorld 4 stuff in on sale at Steam until the 19th). What do you use to play TSW4 in VR when it does not say that's something it includes/supports..?

July 17, 20241 yr I have owned TSW games now for a total of about 6 days. Owned a Quest 2 for 2 or 3 years. I have owned Rail Simulator / Trainsimlator classic since late 2010 when it was released (same company that makes TSW). But those have nothing to do with VR. 3 days after I owned TSW my Pimax Light came and I quit playing TSW, so I have 3 days playing TSW, all in 2D. I said TSW shines in VR based on Youtube videos. Most of them are using a Quest 2 or 3. It looks terrific to me. Railsim, Train Simulator, TSW are not VR compatible. TSW 2,3,4 are VR compatible using UEVR. Definitely with a Quest. Most probably with my new Pimax Crystal Light too, I don't know why it wouldn't work in Steam VR runtime. Because a Quest can definately run TSW2,3,4 in Steam VR runtime (the Quest can also definitely run TSW2,34 in Link or Virtual Desktop (thus bypassing Steam). Youtubers are doing it. Pimax XR control center is a simple switchbox with two check boxes to choose one of two choices: Pimax XR runtime or Steam XR runtime. You can run any Crystal in either of those 2 runtimes. I have only used the Crystal Light in Pimax XR runtime, but it will work in Steam XR runtime. Therefore almost certainly a Crystal headset will run TSW2,3,4 in Steam XR runtime. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/playing-tsw-4-in-vr.81953/ I have been busy in MSFS2020 in the Crystal Light and therefore have no experience in VR TSW (owned TSW 6 days and Crystal LIght 3 days). By the way the Crystal Light is fantastic ! I love it for MSFS and can't stop playing it. I also had a Reverb G2 which I sold. It cannot in any way compare to the wonderful Crystal Light which in my opinion is a gigantic step up! Both the G2 and Chrystal Light are better than the Quest 2 (Quests have no display port. This cuts fps and image quality, the G2 was better performer. The Crystal Light out performs both and the image is far better. And I am only using the middle of the 3 resolution options. If I had a 4090 I could use full resolution. (There is a slider to set resolution in between those 3 resolution options for fine tuning). I'm running CAS upscaling in OpenXR toolkit and DLSS Balanced and High End preset. I get 35-42 fps and zero little stutters or jerkiness. The Crystal Light has glorious colors, no stutters, sharp clear across the screen (I don't use foveated rendering because 40 fps is fine by me, but with a lesser gpu I could do that. With an even still lesser gpu I could use the lowest of 3 checkboxes for resolution in Pimax Play, I use the middle checkbox. Its hard for me to drag myself back to TSW when MSFS is now like a whole new sim. What were nice flights, are now spectacular. This is the first time, after 3 headsets, that I like VR better than 2D is MSFS. Sorry for all the rambling in this message that I typed very fast. might be some mistakes. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. July 17, 20241 yr looks interesting, made me think of that freeware addon for an older version of Flightsim, might have been for FS2000, FS2002, CFS1 and 2, CFS (combat flight sim) Think it was FSRail, something like that.
