It's pretty interesting... Doh! August 12, 20241 yr I got this and have flown around lots but haven’t seen a single train yet. I think there’s a ‘cheat’ mentioned on the flight sim forum in the linked thread, where you can do something to the dlc to highlight where they all are but seems like without doing that you’re not going to see many at the moment. Hopefully far more trains will appear soon.
August 12, 20241 yr This sim is definitely... "on rails" 😜 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
August 12, 20241 yr Rail fans would tell you that there not being any trains when you’re specifically looking for one is very realistic 😂 Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU
August 15, 20241 yr I'd be more interested if they created a train sim within MSFS complete with all the great stuff, stations, interiors, drive modeling, scheduling etc. The MSFS world is a developers basis. Otherwise for me this is DOA. Ryzen 7 5800x, 64gb, 7900XTX 24gb
August 15, 20241 yr I'm surprised there haven't been more offerings of bird add-ons, and who wouldn't love a good bird strike to liven things up a bit and blend in the impact on the flight this would be great. I did buy FS Birds and enjoy what it offers but once again like trains, not quite enough: short on variety, quality and density. Someone could take this project past where South Oak took it and I bet garner some income if done super well especially w/ the bird strike scenario. Seems like the program could shut off an engine or whatever else happens w/ bird strikes so implementing bird strikes w/ consequences could be done even w/ the current SDK. August 16, 20241 yr Whilst I admire the developer of this product for making the effort, I still can't bring myself to activate road vehicles in a flight simulator, never mind trains. Whilst a few addons have included realistic road traffic (the P3D version of FlyTampa Amsterdam Schiphol springs to mind here), I have never been convinced by default road traffic in any flight simulator.
