Never say never considering the amount of cross platform titles that already exist and to be fair MSFS should already be on this list b/c of XBox/PC but there are a number of titles on multiple platforms

Who knows, both Microsoft and Sony seems more open to bringing their games across multiple platforms, moving away from the full exclusives. Though I haven't heard anything.

Not happening, even if Microsoft starts bringing their titles to PS, it would be years after release. At least for exclusive games like MSFS.

With the PS5 outselling Xbox by nearly a ratio of 3:1, it wouldn't surprise me to see MS give up on making consoles and making titles available on PS.

Eventually, MS' aim will be for Xbox Cloud Gaming to dominate the market, but that's not a given with PS Remote Play on AWS.

I have a PS5 and love to play some games but I'd never even think of simulating flight on it.  I'll pass.

Given the struggle they had with WASM / Marketplace / memory etc. on Xbox (their very own platform), I’m gonna predict this will never happen.

I know, as you can see they are all old games. Maybe MSFS 2020 might be available on the PS, but not MSFS 2024. 

Also MS is testing the waters, they won't release all their first party exclusive games all at once, even less new releases.

If it's MSFS 2020, would kinda make sense, because there will be a new version. We will see.

SU5 (Xbox update) was released over 3 years ago, yet they're still struggling with massive issues getting MSFS2020 to run properly and the latest as a result has delayed SU16 for the rest of us. So if they can't get it running on their own technology 3+ years later, what hope have they got of getting it running successfully on a PS? Then factor in the whole Marketplace area, how would that work? It would be a monumental undertaking and coupled with the issues they have elsewhere I just cannot see this sim ever coming to PS, maybe for the Next Generation Consoles, who knows.

If it were going to happen (and that is a big "if"), Microsoft would probably release a version on PS5 that has no marketplace. Then they wouldn't have to deal with the security issues that PMDG had on XBox. The other reason why they wouldn't have a marketplace on PS5 is because I don't know how Microsoft and Sony could come to an agreement on the revenue split. Microsoft probably wants all the revenue from any marketplace sales on PS5.

The marketplace sales is tricky, because you would think Sony would have to support any marketplaces sales on the PS5. But of course, support for marketplace sales on XBox is the responsibility of Microsoft.

Seems to work OK for Rockstar. They bring GTA/RDR games to PC years after the console releases. RDR1 has the record at 14 years and counting. They still make absurd amounts of cash when it happens.

 

I've been reading a bunch of articles that suggest sales of the Xbox are tanking, which might incentivize MS to offer it on more popular platforms like the PS.

 

I'm the first to admit that I'm about a decade out of owning a console game system.  But I'm quite surprised to hear playstation is not only out selling xbox, but by that margin.
