September 23, 20241 yr My first complex training was in a Sierra. Not the sexiest of airplanes, but yes loved the two doors and interior space!
September 23, 20241 yr I think I read on either their facebook or discord that it is going to be released on 9/26.

I get tired of using an Arrow to simulate my plane. I can use actual settings for pitch and manifold pressure for instrument practice. I get the pure simmer viewpoint to some extent. I'm with another poster about enjoying the slower flights. I don't "feel the need for speed" 🙂 For what it is worth... Beechcraft created Aerocenters with Skippers, Sundowners, and Sierra aircraft to get new pilots headed towards buying Bonanza's and the other higher end planes they sell. IRL the benefit I found in this plane has a reasonable cruise speed at low fuel burn. I am tall and the space was also an appeal. The other benefit is two doors. This is because my other half thinks after shutdown she should check her lip gloss when it is 95 degrees and the humidity is high! I can bail out of the greenhouse while she does her thing.. ha ha I see the C24R is already on sale. It would be interesting to hear a real pilot's opinion before buying.

I fly a musketeer super III which is pretty similar 200hp (but with fixed gear and fixed pitch prop). When I loaded at the hangar the visuals were stunning. When I turned on the fuel pump for engine start it sounded exactly like the musketeer! The panel has many options like G5s with analog gauges and gns530 or gtn. Or G3X with same combo. It's also got dual CGR30P engine monitors (same in the plane I fly). I haven't gotten to fly yet but just my impressions on the ground were so far very good! I'll write more when I have the chance but I expect the flight model to be superb as the aircraft is modeled after an owner who is on the dev team. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
September 27, 20241 yr I've taken her out for a couple of trios and a few touch and goes and it flew very nicely. I can't comment on the actual of sounds and visuals but they certainly feel appropriate. In cruise it was hitting the 65% power numbers from there PoH nicely and approach and landing were as straightforward as the winds I was flying in would allow On there negative side I have to say I'm disappointed not to have an analogue 6-pack option. The G5s aren't a particularly good model of the real thing and swapping them out for the traditional instruments works definitely be my preference. Additionally VNAV model on the Autopilot isn't supported even in the G3X model and the plane explodes if you open the storm window in-flight event at low speeds and altitudes - it might be the MSFS default to do this but that's no reason for a quality dev not to fix it. Final issue is the night lighting on the switches is very dim, but that's likely an issue with the real thing rather than a problem with the model. If every a plane was crying out for backlighting of the switch and CB panels this is it So ultimately for me it's a nice plane and a decent option if you want a glass panel 4 seater but over all planes of this class looms the spectre of the A2A Comanche and that's still unmatched and in a league of it's own.

I think so too. My initial impressions are that the handling can be twitchy with crosswind take-offs being awkward and landings perhaps too easy ..... but I've no Real Life experience of any Beechcraft aircraft. It's early days so more come and my initial "just OK" impressions may change as I learn more. Stalling and spinning seem like fun ; my first attempt took me 4000ft to recover with a very rapid left wing drop. I liked that.
September 27, 20241 yr Is the expectation that this one will also be subject to regular updates for the first few months like the other two Flysimware aircraft were? Presumably it will be updated for MSFS 2024 anyway. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

Thinking some more about it, they probably use the G5s so they can slap the GFC700 AP in there and not have to worry about a separate altitude pre-selector, but that doesn't alter the fact the G5 modelling just isn't very good.
September 27, 20241 yr Yeah the default G5 isn't great in MSFS anyway - So hopefully WT do get round to addressing that (Maybe in MSFS2024) and then any aircraft that can use that will be updated to do so. September 27, 20241 yr A great addon! I've also uploaded a first repaint 🙂 https://flightsim.to/file/82184/flysimware-beechcraft-c24r-sierra-n271wt Greetings Tim My files on Flightsim.to i5 12600K | 32Gb | RTX 4080
September 27, 20241 yr Sierra looks definitely very nice but I'm suprised that flightsimware didn't push the limit and implement tear and wear system, especially given full access to airplane owners. That would definitely put Sierra in par with A2A Comanche! Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). September 28, 20241 yr Just bought this on the MSFS Marketplace yesterday. Have tried several flights and the plane wants to keep descending no matter how much I trim up (electric trim is on). Not sure if I am doing something wrong or this is a bug. Anyone else having this issue. Of course, coming from the Marketplace instead of direct, it may be awhile before an update is forthcoming.
