Such an over the top intro for a frankly not very interesting aircraft. It's Flysimware so I'm sure it will be good but, kind of wish they had chosen something else.

What makes it less interesting than any other GA aircraft?

I hope working title is developing the G5 instruments....becoming more and more common in real world.

If a default aircraft ends up using them I could see that happening

If it has a G5 setup (and it looks like it has?) that makes it interesting to me.  But yeah with the full-glass option it also appears to have, might as well be a dozen other planes.

I also wish they had chosen something else, I see no point in buying this for those of us who have the Comanche, personally I wish for a decent C-182.

Any reason why they don't say it is a model of a Beechcraft C24R? Is that to prevent legal issues?

I do like much of what I saw in the video, but we are spoilt with some good quality in-depth aircraft already. I am currently flying the BSQR Duke and the JF Piper Tomahawk a lot, and I noticed that my A2A Comanche has been in the hangar for far too long. Meanwhile, where did I last park that Milviz Cessna 310 and Hondajet?

And I still need to find the time to dive into the Fokker 28 and to learn its systems, and somewhere on my harddrive is a PMDG 737 that is gathering dust. The DC-6 also deserves some attention.

So will I not buy this one then? or shall I? The aircraft seems similar to the JF Piper Arrow's I also have, except off course its a Beechcraft, and the arrows are becoming a bit outdated. Perhaps I should get one of the Arrows out for a spin, to check whether they are still relevant.

I have flown this aircraft IRL for a little bit. It's same class as Piper Arrow - more comfortable but a bit slower. I guess this is why Beechcraft discontinued it

For a starters, it's slow and ugly

In the real world I would prefer a sleek aircraft that is fast. It also would need to be cheap, so I would probably had to compromise. That's what where these aircraft come in.
Those that have such an aircraft would not call it slow and ugly, they would say it has "character"😉

In the sim however it is different. When I am simflying I am not in a hurry to get from A to B, I want to enjoy myself and indulge in nostalgy. Same as with glass cockpits. many prefer steam gauges but I guess that in the real world they would prefer a glass cockpit with all the modern conveniences.

I fly one of these IRL and, for me,  it will be a great benefit to practice with the same specs as what I fly.  I get tired of using an Arrow to simulate my plane.  I can use actual settings for pitch and manifold pressure for instrument practice.   I get the pure simmer viewpoint to some extent.   I'm with another poster about enjoying the slower flights.  I don't "feel the need for speed" 🙂

For what it is worth...  Beechcraft created Aerocenters with Skippers, Sundowners, and Sierra aircraft to get new pilots headed towards buying Bonanza's and the other higher end planes they sell.

IRL the benefit I found in this plane has a reasonable cruise speed at low fuel burn.  I am tall and the space was also an appeal.   The other benefit is two doors.   This is because my other half thinks after shutdown she should check her lip gloss when it is 95 degrees and the humidity is high!    I can bail out of the greenhouse while she does her thing.. ha ha
