I'd do it on day one, but only if: 1) All my current 2020 Marketplace purchases are enabled in 2024. 2) There's a way to move the Marketplace purchases from the Steam version to the MS Store one (that's because Steam now charges me in USD, while MS still charges in my currency). For #2, if that doesn't happen, I'll simply wait until first sale. I need to wait until AddonLinker is updated and then I’ll move over. But I’ll be on a two week cruise when it’s released so plenty of time to watch everything unfold from the suite lounge in the middle of the ocean. Eric

Theres still a free flight mode

You should be able to appreciate anything for what it is, without making unnecessary comparisons. Comparing MSFS2024 with 2020 makes a kind of sense, you can see direct comparisons and improvements, but even here, if you have to make direct comparisons to see an improvement you could reasonably question how much of an improvement there is. Comparing MSFS 2024 (or even 2020) with other sims, and one in particular, is nothing but pure tribalism. And I sincerely wish everybody would stop doing it here. It reveals very little about the absolute worth of any of the sims mentioned, but a wealth of information about the attitudes of the person doing the comparison. To probably mis-quote Forrest Gump, that's all I have to say about that. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

To probably mis-quote Forrest Gump, that's all I have to say about that. I vehemently disagree with you. We compare products all the time. The new IPhone 16? You bet the new IPhone 16 is being compared to the new Samsung phones, Sony phones, etc. I will gladly compare the IPhone 16 to the latest Samsung and Sony phones. Buying a new TV? You will compare the TV you want to buy to other TVs made by other companies. Buying a new Tesla? You will compare the Tesla to perhaps the electric cars made by BMW and Volkswagen. Buying a Playstation? Well, maybe you want to compare the Playstation to XBox and Switch, before you make the purchase. I can go on and on. Why should we not compare the new upcoming flight simulator to other flight simulators on the market? So should I stop comparing the products that I may buy, to other products on the market? Can you see how silly you sound @andy1252? Edited September 19, 20241 yr by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
