It's referring to purchases on the marketplace.

I hope the live ship traffic will also accept third party models like Live Air Traffic can, then maybe we could use Hendrik's models to fill the gaps in Asobo's model coverage.

Still there for me on Chrome mobile (but not on desktop).. in any case, the floodgates open tomorrow 🙂

Ahhh…that is interesting. Hmmm, if I could have rented some of this stuff first I’d surely have a lot fewer hanger queens…

Good question.. at least we can assume the new iniBuilds default birds will continue with the fidelity levels of their existing aircraft in the MSFS 2020 default fleet. In this year's FS Expo Seb also said their new 737 Max will be their highest fidelity aircraft ever (so assuming in the worst case something equal to or better than what Asobo/WT have done in the AAU updates). Also assume the already AAU treated aircraft will get even further improvements in MSFS 2024? Outside of these, nothing else is known yet AFAIK about the other new aircraft fidelity levels... well, except for the blanket statement that Jorg made once or twice about how they're striving to continuously dial up the fidelity of their default fleet. I think safe to say not all these new birds will have fidelity levels equal to the iniBuilds or AAU treated default aircraft, but one can hope for a good amount of them 🙂

Exactly - it's a LOT of new planes, so I "fear" they might lean more to the bling end of the scale.

In any case, I'm happy to see it and it doesn't affect my purchase decision at all.👍

I really hope the Saab 340 isn't trash. I really do.

If it's Carenado it should be acceptable.

Of course, the weather has also received an update, so that real storms in the game should be possible. Dark storm clouds and turbulence, which shake through the pilot violently, are supposed to be more realistic and pose a real threat.

The graphics of MSFS 2020 are already light years ahead of any other decent flignt simulator out there. MSFS 2024 graphics makes MSFS 2020 graphics look outdated, especially for the terrain!

That career "Headquarters" screenshot reminds me of the FOB in the original Flight Unlimited.

For all the arguments about flight models earlier in this thread, there were aerobatic maneuvers you could do 30 years in Flight Unlimited that you still can't perform in any modern sim. I'll be looking forward to the dev stream next week!

A valid point.  FU was such a wonderful program!

I think a big part of real world flying is to take in the views of our amazing planet from the air.  So whilst I'm hoping that a lot of the flight modelling is improved in 2024, I already know that the virtual world around me will look amazing!

This is the timestamp in the presentation where they confirmed it: https://youtu.be/a6riRXgRsCU?t=1675 .. so at the very least we know the core weather engine has that new capability to render these cloud types. What's not clear is if live weather will include it... I'm not that familiar with live weather data, but does that usually include data about cirrus clouds? If it does, hopefully the data that MSFS sources has it and will then render accordingly in live weather.

The weather engine can gather upper atmosphere data and make a good proximation if cirrus would be present. Believe that’s how ActiveSky did it in P3D with live whether.

HS... that one wasn't loading for me, but it did now:

That's impressive. I'm used to games looking reallistic, but that one is awesome in so many ways.
