At long last a super LSGG is on the way thanks to Jetstream

Recommended Posts

I know this is the third scenery for LSGG, but finally a super good one at the level of the top best MSFS scenery designers. This was my home airport for years, so I will be happy to ditch the (relatively good) rendition by Red Wing to... get back to the future of my past flying years.

Here you go for the previews before entering the beta testing:

What have they done to Switzerland?

WU18 satellite imagery coverage has a significant amount of errors ... Color blending issues, mountainside depiction issues, mountaintop coloration issues, the persistent snow problem, partially discolored lakes, melted or completely missing PG buildings, and numerous floating or error prone custom landmarks (such as a poorly rendered Mount Pilatus) both in CH as well as the other countries. There's a 400+ reply thread on the official forums with numerous screenshots of all the issues in WU18. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/polls-world-update-xviii-germany-austria-and-switzerland/652756

With that said, this LSGG looks great, and better than both the Redwing and RDPresets versions that are a couple years old now. Likely will get it at the very least for current visuals and presumably better optimized performance.

Any thoughts on if I have the RedWing LSGG, whether this is worth the upgrade?  I am pretty happy with RedWing, but if this is a significant upgrade in quality (without a decline in performance), then I'd be willing to go for it -- the videos look pretty great, and LSGG was my home base for a few years.

really good scenery. i am landing with PMDG 739 from the south, and i did not see any issues with scenery around.
it looks like a really busy airport, many cars, busses and other things you will see around on the apron while you taxi in.
Also no issues with frames, LSGG was full with planes from FSLT.
Great work. look the video on youtube and you will get the scenery a little bit cheaper with a code on contrail.
