Hoping MilTech does a good job on the C-17, too. Both of those are decidedly non-standard with their STOL, rough field, and high key operations. The FMs will require more work than the regular big iron birds - and I'm looking at it glass half full! 😁

Third (and last) interview with Chris Burnett of Working Title and Brandon Yaeger of Got Friends about their work on MSFS 2024, including some interesting (IMHO) details on the flight planning tool and tablet. 😎 @Abriael good question here https://youtu.be/xdIu85eoMYs?t=153 about the physics, flight model, & systems from a developer's perspective. And as suspected Asobo/WT have direct access Boeing looks like (via MS) for working on the 737 Max and Lifter. Hopefully optimization will allow us to increase the LOD, because if it’s that close to the camera, it’s gonna be a big distraction. Other than that, quite pumped for gliders in 2024. Haven’t really touched them much but with better thermals and turbulence, might pay more attention to them! i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
September 23, 20241 yr I think they remodelled the ground services vehicles, they look higher quality. Which would make sense, since you can walk up to them now. Edited September 23, 20241 yr by Tuskin38

September 24, 20241 yr Does anyone remember in which interview Jörg confirmed the wipers are now working? I can't remember where he said that (it was just him saying he didn't have the time to say everything they've fixed implemented because of time constraints and hinted wipers are now working as intended). 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel

I didn't see any pop-ins, but the rendering distance seems low for the crop fields and grass (it doesn't pop-in, but we can see it being rendered, smoothly though). 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel

Not sure about interview, but the msfsaddons.com article on weather improvements in MSFS 2024 has a bit about it: https://msfsaddons.com/2024/09/21/heres-everything-you-need-to-know-about-weather-in-microsoft-flight-simulator-2024/ The introduction of fully functional windshield wipers adds a new layer of cockpit management during wet conditions. Pilots can now actively improve their visibility in rainy weather, a feature many have been craving for since MSFS 2020 came out! Gabriel (DevTeam) — Today at 1:28 PM There are certain limitations with reverse thrust while in the air (long story short - the engines can be set to reverse but provide zero drag. Full reversers on MSFS are hardcoded to only function when the aircraft is on the ground) All of the others are supported urgentsiesta — Today at 1:29 PM Okay, that's cool - you can only do what the sim supports, after all! Gabriel (DevTeam) — Today at 1:30 PM Remote cargo ops is a big thing on FS24 and the C17 is perfect for that 😉 urgentsiesta — Today at 1:30 PM These tactical airlifters do some decidedly non-standard activities, so a good FM is highly desirable. Glad to see you've been looking into it!! Were you folks looking into CFD/SBS/etc., or...? Gabriel (DevTeam) — Today at 1:31 PM FM performs veeeery close to the data we have. I personally think its really good Its full native CFD /// This news from them pretty much makes my day!! 😁

If someone asked it in an interview they didn't pay attention and they wasted their time. He said it in the initial presentation, so it's gonna be mentioned in previews and similar articles.
