September 22, 20241 yr Some decent 737 Max footage starting at 23:43. There was not recording time at the event to record a full flight, that's why we really haven't seen any. He does a some things in the CDU. LNAV and VNAV may have been broken in the build, or he just forgot something to enable them. Edited September 22, 20241 yr by Tuskin38

I cant even imagine whats missing in this sim...on things that could be improved upon but still will be present at launch. In 2020 we knew we did have seasons, snow was later added, wake turbulence, all kinds of weather elements were missing and the sim wasnt optimized for making use of modern computers with HT etc. There was no VR at 3030 release. I see a noticeable leap in almost every aspect of the sim from 2020 to 2024 but with the exception of trains missing (as we now have AI boats based off of RL locations), I cant imagine anything that not in the new sim that would be needed to release a sim after this one. Cloud based items that all can be upgraded on the sever side with updates to build upon but really nothing is missing that I can think of. You could've said the same exact thing about v2020 4 years ago. Do I detect some tacit conclusion that you'll never need to buy another version...? Don't worry - there's plenty of reality left to bring to the sim. And that will require additional dollars from us in the future.

A: We are planning to have a Tech Alpha prior to launch – likely in late October. Sounds more like a closed alpha/beta to a select audience. Doubt they'll do an open beta (even if they did they'd have to restrict only to pre-order customers or whatever probably?). This late preview release could also be something to stress-test the servers before release which they mentioned earlier about doing. Jörg said they wanted to stress test the servers prior to launch and for that reason they would release this beta test build. I think it makes more sense to make it a public beta test. A few selected people won´t really stress the servers. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel
September 22, 20241 yr 32 Pages? I feel left-out, so I have mention something to be part of this thread "We need extra Goats"

September 22, 20241 yr Have another video, this time around a full recording of the first mission of the career mode. Gotta give them credit for the attention to detail. I choose a small airport in Japan to trip them up, but I found signs in Japanese, the instructor with the right ethnicity, and even a realistic Japanese registration on the aircraft. 👍 Editor-in-Chief at SimulationDaily.com

September 22, 20241 yr I haven’t watched many other videos on career mode, but yeah most did it in the US

Minor quibble with the use of katakana ‘レセプション’ rather than the much more likely ‘受付’, but as I’m not likely to do any of the careers I’ll let it pass😅 You mentioned Fuji visibility is more realistic due to the new lighting system; is the new lighting able to calculate what should be visible at certain distances under certain atmospheric conditions? i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

I'm also fairly sure it wouldn't be written like this, but at least they tried (my Japanese is far from perfect either, so I can't blame anyone else haha) As for the lighting, I'm fairly sure it is, or at least it looks very much what you would expect. This is a bit of a spoiler for a future article, but I I actually went to the same locations of pictures I took over the past few months, typed in the date and time, tried to reproduce the cloud coverage, and the visibility and lighting were always nearly pixel perfect. Good to hear, although for me how visibility works in live weather is the real interest. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
September 22, 20241 yr There’s some 172 liveries labelled as adaptive. Like skydive adaptive, flight seeing adaptive, cargo adaptive, but with no writing on the livery in the livery preview screen, but there’s clearly space meant to have writing. I wonder what that means hmm Edited September 22, 20241 yr by Tuskin38

Helos just started making into the sim and kinda shoe horned in as well. 2020 is a great sim but it certainly had areas to improve upon. i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi
