I only fly to third party airports so the base version seems for me the one to go for … I only fly the Pro-Sim A320 with my hardware cockpit. I ordered the premium deluxe version just to get extra airports, although I don’t know whether they are ones an A320 might fly in to. I have zero interest in any of the aircraft. I also have a lot of 3rd party airports, but I usually prefer the handcrafted ones from Asobo the most. They aren’t generally as detailed as some of the third party offerings, but they are good enough, and generally the performance seems better and are generally less hassle. I don’t care to look around inside the terminal and that sort of thing. I just want accurate taxiway signs, good runway/taxiway/apron markings and textures, realistic elevations and slopes, proper lighting, etc. I might have wasted a few dollars if the standard edition has everything I care about. I’m not going to lose sleep over it either way. Pro-Sim A320 and MSFS 2024
September 21, 20241 yr I didn't see the question being asked whether you will be able to use 3rd party aircraft in career mode, did anyone else see mention of that? The question was about to be asked in the Blu experience interview but they went of on a tangent. My conclusion from that interview is that the career is a very closed environment from the rest of the sim and 3rd party aircraft usage sounds unlikely to me.

He's not a pilot but now he thinks 2024's flight model is great after consistently saying 2020's was inferior for years. Expect more of this since he hasn't been the only one. Did the guy with the purple hat get invited? I think he was there for the preview of MS2020 in Seatle.
September 21, 20241 yr 6:40 "First of all, it would just work". 2020 plane will "just work" in 2024. But 2024 allows upgraded versions. The Asobo / MS planes will all have upgrades in 2024 version (I think). 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Big thing, they've finally confirmed that owning MSFS2020 Deluxe/Premium deluxe will allow you to use the 2020 D/PD aircraft/airports in 2024 no matter what edition you buy. https://www.flightsimulator.com/microsoft-flight-simulator-2024-faq/ Just to make sure I understand - I have the Premium 2020, so I own the 787 in MSFS2020. If I buy the 2024 standard version, I will still be able to use the 787 (even though it's premium tier in 2024 too)? For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Perhaps most addon airports will work right away simply by copying them from Community folder to Community. Of coarse special MSFS 2024 features need to be included by the original developers. September 21, 20241 yr Was the question asked anywhere; "Can we see other people's avatars walking around their planes in multiplayer?" If we can't then you can bet that a modder will look at how they can "hack" a way to make it happen, so it shouldn't be too long for it to become possible if that's possible at all.
