For those using PF3 (and possibly other ATC add-ons that use FSUIPC), an issue has recently been identified where AI aircraft in the Init or Sleeping status get promoted to Enroute (by FSUIPC) due to the a/c ground altitude being reported incorrectly as 0. This can cause some ATC add-ons to think there are AI aircraft in the air when they are actually still on the ground.

Just to mention - FSHud for P3D and MSFS is completely identical.

Same code in terms of ATC management.
The only difference is SimConnect SDK access (according to simulator capabilities).

So "Descend when ready" also appears in P3D 🙂 as many other things.

for P3D, it does not sound a viable/realistic/simple alternative to older 10 year old stable atc addons mentioned above.

If you take a look on second line - you will find this:
The primary purpose of ATC is to prevent collisions, organise and expedite the flow of traffic in the air, and provide information and other support for pilots.
Seems like it was completely forgotten due to all limited stuff that was fed to users for decades.

I’ve used fshud in P3d for probably a year and really like it.  The new version with voice recognition and the new AI voices is definitely a huge step up from the previous version.  Is it perfect? Of course not.  There are still some issues to be ironed out but it is being actively developed with multiple big fixes/improvements a week.  Best ATC addon on the market in my opinion.

hmmm ..... FSHud costs more than I like to spend to find out you are correct & hence optimistic one'll get what one paid for. It is a few years in the "making" 

Have you tried any of the other's free demos to compare.

Do any of these options work for VFR and lighter GA aircraft?

I initially purchased FSHud a year ago, for using it with P3D. MSFS was an afterthought. However, the frame rate impact was too high for my liking, even after upgrading to a 5700X3D. Last night I gave the Alpha a try in P3D (after several successful flights in the other sim), default settings (20 active+50 parked aircraft, no performance balancer) and it was beautifully smooth and immersive. I have yet to try in more aggresive scenarios, like a EGLL-KJFK flight with a PMDG bird (or a lightly loaded FSL A319).

I own this product. Installed it for msfs a while back. How do I install it in p3d v5 on same pc? From memory the install app just sees my msfs install. After the last update clicking the fshud icon in windows now does nothing at all. I'm used to starting the interface which loads airac etc then fstl then msfs.

@sloppysmusic As far as I know just launch the sim of your choice and FShud should detect it. Seemed that way with P3d V6 and V5.

It looks like there is a problem with your environment.
Basically we have common steps for that in our Discord channel.

1. Completely uninstall FSHud from control panel and install the version you need. 
2. Ensure your Virtual Memory is set to System Managed.
3. Run SFC /SCANNOW in PowerShell.
4. Restart your computer.
5. Double-check and validate any third-party antivirus exceptions.
6. Finally review Windows Events logs for the problem of cause.

In another words - something in your Window prevents from FSHud to start and those steps above can clarify it.

VoxATC is both an IFR & VFR ATC addon (2 in 1 you might say) .... suggest you review its slightly outdated user guide for the fine print of how to use it https://voxatc.com/.

It's not the cheapest but is more than mature with its traffic engine, uses free MS Sapi5 voices & has a demo available.

I believe @kevinfirthis a vfr wizard on VFR use. There is also good support & a user forum here on Avsim.

Thanks for the reply.

Version 1.3 worked flawlessly.

App asks if I want to update. It downloads Version 2.0.52 to an unknown location so I cannot run it clean.

After removing from control panel I have to install 1.3 again before updating as do not know where 2 is stored.

It downloads 400mb , then says start installation which takes one second. Clicking start now gives a spinning windows icon then nothing.

It does not start, no sign in process manager.

Am going to remove again and stay with the working 1.3.385 version. How do I use it in p3d?

For further support, I suggest you to contact via tickets or via discord channel.
But things should be pretty straight forward (unless there is something on your end that blocks the application from proper operation).
There is no separate installations for P3D and MSFS - all in one and works the same.
