new LPMA madeira

As a former resident of Madeira, I felt the urge to improve on the previous Amsim version and was not disappointed, a remarkable product indeed!

They even made the effort to work on the immediate surrounding areas to make them more accurate (I have yet to see the sport and leisure area located below the runway). Visiting the inside of the terminal was like walking through that airport again IRL, great details even if one does not bother with this aspect.

I think we are slowly getting to a point where we will be able to start a flight not in the cockpit, but at one entrance of the air terminal and walk to our plane!😉 Free idea for you Asobo.

I really appreciate it when developers do this. The enjoyment of using a new airport addon does not stop at the airport boundary. There are important landmarks and features that can be seen during final approach at various airports, and having these upgraded/rendered can turn a very good product into a great one!

  • Yep, and it's worth it! It's their first airport and I am really enjoying it.

  • I got it and agree it's a really well done airport. Miles better than the Amsim version I had before. It looks great and performs great, really impressed. According to FSElite a free update for M

As MSFS2024 does have the feature to get out and walk in the world, I guess this is indeed something developers will have to keep in mind for the future.

If airport Devs can recreate travelators then I'll be beside myself with joy!

LPMA is my home airport and this is an absolutely beautiful scenery, finally glad to move on from Amsim.

However, once installed it seems to make pushback tugs disappear in the entire sim, in every airport. Have notified the developer about this possible bug, waiting for feedback.

I'm going to wait and see how the Handcrafted Maderia looks in 2024 before deciding.

Hopefully they fix the lead in light system.  My previous payware madeira had them, and they always worked.  But according to the developer said it's a problem with 2020 rendering.  Sometimes they are on, and sometimes not.  Aiming to fix for 2024.

Weird how this isn't an issue with my other stuff...

Just mentioning here that it's on sale at OrbX right now, looks like 40% off. Saw elsewhere it's now 2024 compatible but don't take my word for it.

I ran to orbx and bought it, but... grrrrr this msfs 2024 LPMA is not the Atelic one!

Bought it from Contrail. But be careful a little bit...

1) in MSFS2020, you have to deactivate stock LPMA (directly in the sim, otherweise you get scenery errors)

2) in MSFS2024, officially not compatible, since you can't disable LPMA in the sim itself, but you can disable it with "Check Airports" utility, after which the scenery seems to work alright

Best price at the moment seems to be at Contrail.

Just using the Inibuilds procedure seems to works pretty quite well. Atelic good job!

Purchased this last night on Contrail, and I look forward to checking it out over the weekend.

My thought exactly. In fact I would rather they spend less time on the inside of the airport and concentrate more on the surrounding area. That is what I see when I take off and land.
