If you didn't get to see the Alpha, it looks like this.

Content like new planes and airports I can understand was limited, but would you not provide your latest version with all new core features and data services enabled to stress test? Why give out a worse version for people to test and showcase?

Call me delusional but in my time with the Alpha, I saw better clouds than anything Asobo was able to muster before. Are there still issues? Yes. Is cloud density much better? Absolutely!

Where are the screenshots? I keep seeing words. Call me disillusioned but words don't mean much at this point.

Not impressed by the videos, not enough to jump from my modded MSFS 2020 build yet.

An in-development build doesn't mean it is an OLD build. Sure, they ARE still working on it, but this might be what they had as of the tech alpha. Not sure why it would be any other version!?

sigh...for the thousandth time it wasn't that sort of Tech Alpha, they were utilising that weekend to check server capabilities & load with people downloading the software and then using it in a tight window (1 weekend). It had NOTHING  to do with showcasing anything. You really really really really really really really really  need to read what Turbomax posted on the previous page, it's clearly obvious and you're either not accepting what is written, refusing to believe or your fishing like a troll, if the latter well played!

Believe me, if the Live Weather clouds are just as bad as Post-SU5 2020 then I'll be on the frontline with you, but until then there really is no point getting worked up over something you seem to completely misunderstand.

I'll call you slightly confused because last i checked you were demanding that Asobo give you 2024 as a free upgrade. They're not doing that so why do you even care at this point lol. Anyway, better than a screenshot, here's a video.

Do you really think people passionate about MSFS are trolling when they expect better and posting their opinions? Okay so it wasn't "that kind" of alpha, but surely anyone pushing this out knew people will judge it as what to expect a month before release. Saying it's an old build and blaming the testers for not understanding, to me that is trolling.

Anyways, if the live weather clouds are just as bad and even worse as current 2020 then why are people gushing over them in the supposed "not representative" alpha?

Why do you guys always comb through and attack the person's posting history? Anyways, I saw that video and posted screenshots from it. Where are your screenshots showing the "better clouds than anything Asobo was able to muster before"?

No one is agreeing with you on that. What people are telling you is that it makes no sense jumping to conclusions based on the Alpha.

Like I said, no point getting worked up about it let alone what others are saying until the full release is out.

I see, so this thread is just about posting "stunnings" and "amazings" about the alpha.

You invited us to do so in the official forum censorship thread.

So what you did was look at a video with drop dead gorgeous looking clouds throughout and cherry picked a moment right at the end where the clouds kind of reminded you of the clouds in 2020 (your screenshot still shows evidence of improved cloud density btw).

I'm not so sure about that. But hey, let's wait and see right. Old build and all that.

Sorry but I don't know if there is some sort of mass delusion going on but the live weather looks exactly as in current FS2020. How can people praise the same weather issues they criticized before as now being "tremendous" and "stunning" just because it has a 2024 sticker on it?

Seems like what's got you all irritated is that too many people (for your liking) are seeing improvements in MSFS 2024 weather depiction? If you are not liking what you're seeing in the previews so far and/or not going to purchase MSFS 2024 then good for you 🙂, thanks for telling us this breaking news and we'll somehow try to manage despite it 🙄.. various previews in both video and screenshot form are out there for you to find, but demanding screenshots and making a fuss here is rather.. petulant.

Not until I see evidence of live weather and lighting that is like pre-SU5 FS2020 will I buy another MSFS.

Ok? I don’t really care haha. If you like it, buy it, if you don’t, don’t! You do you 🙂
