Simbrief Dispatch really IS a gamechanger

Featured Replies

I may have missed it, but I haven't seen any discussion about the the Simbrief Dispatch facility.  I've just downloaded it and can already tell that it is going to transform my use of flightplans - especially when trying to coordinate between the MSFS and Pilot2ATC!

First impressions are VERY favourable.

Any one else tried it yet?

Here's a decent Youtube of how to set it up (and, as the saying goes, if I can do it, then anyone can 🙂 )

I love it. Comes about 2 years too late, but since it will also be in MSFS24 I like the idea of having the option.

Wow ! this is great. Just did a flight in the FSR500 from YSBK to TSTW with BATC. Simbrief loads into MS2020, BATC and Navigraph. Works fine and so easy now, all in the sim .

That's is really very nice. I'm using it since release.

One problem I have tough: when I'm in the world map and want to plan a flight from there, and use the brand new blue button for "Simbrief" (just above the traditional yelow "Fly" button), a window is open with the new Simbrief interface that allows you to do everything from there, but I don't find the way to minimize or leave that window, for example, to select my departing point, being it a runway or a parking stand after having set up the simbrief flightplan.

Anybody?.

Cheers, Ed

I have found if I place the mouse outside the Simbrief box and click, the box disappears.

Whenever I open the app in the sim it changes the time of day or night with I find odd. Anyone else have this issue?

Apologies, if this is silly, been away with health issues but does this mean I no longer have to save my simbrief FP to a folder and then load it into the native MSFS planner using the Load from PC function?

That would be a nice improvement!

Correct. Once your desired Simbrief flightplan is generated within the MSFS environment, a new button 'import flightplan' appears on the top menu within the app window.

Afyer clicking the button, let the app do its thing for about 10 seconds. Everything will be loaded directly into the native MSFS planner.

Thank you!!   So you do have to generate it within MSFS if I understand correctly?   Or can you already have a simbrief FP and just import it?  I typically do my simbrief planning on another machine but would still love to just open the interface within MSFS and import the FP.  Or does it "have" to be generated from within MSFS.

Thank you again for the silly questions.  I would normally try it myself to figure it out but immobile at the moment so forced to ask silly basic questions, appreciate you taking the time to answer!

Don't know as I haven't tried that. But I think you can if you click on the 'saved flights' button in the app sidebar menu.
