Interesting. The old AIRAC planned the STAR VERO1A into LIMF but I couldn't find that one in the G3000 (Vision Jet) so clearly the MSFS2024 database doesn't have it. It did have other VERO1# though. To my surprise BATC assigned me the VERO1F STAR... which IS in the G3000 and the MSFS2024 database...!

So it seems that you can plan an flight in SB with an out of date database with procedures the sim doesn't know but BATC doesn't mind and selects the appropriate procedure that IS in the sim!

This seems to show it's not a HUGE problem to work with SB and NO Navigraph subscription...

The main question now is what happens if SB plans a WAYPOINT the sim doesn't know. BATC won't assign waypoints like it does procedures. I guess time will tell. For now I will keep on using the old AIRAC (2303 IIRC, which is the latest free one) without a Navigraph sub and see how long it'll keep on working.

EDIT Transfered the edited SB EFB route from the G3000 to the EFB planner and looked for the charts. The VERO1A STAR isn't there indeed but the VERO1F is! Cool! So now I can also check the procedures BATC is using. Regardless of the old stuff SB plans!

So perhaps it's bye bye Navigraph subscription anyway!

EDIT 2
As a final test I let SB plan the fight again but now with the current AIRAC. Sure enough the current AIRAC has the VERO1F STAR. The old 2303 AIRAC had the VERO1A STAR. BATC didn't mind and solved it. So I won't mind either for now.

In MSFS2024, BeyondATC connects to the sim and the mic symbol that shows I am speaking works, however, the software does not recognize that I am speaking.  Is anyone else having this issue?

I had BATC running OKmin MSFS2020 but I can't get the Ai traffic to work in 2024 - the AI traffic is switched on but there is an INOP banner over the settings.

I've reinstalled FSTL to the community folder of FS2024

Any help would be appreciated

Select Account and insure experimental is selected under version. Also you should have BATC V1.4.20.

Do you have the supporters pack?

I must say recently I'm a bit displeased with the progression. 

Suddenly after one of the last updates you get FAA style clearences in EASA territory. Like you are getting assigned a SID and then a transition everytime and then are first cleared a heading on departure instead of simply following the SID. Even if the SID has no transition at all.

 

And don't get me started on the vectoring. I had two consecutive flights now, one to Ryadh and one to Munich were the Vectoring completely failed me.

After a year of development time and public early access testing that is really dissappointing.

I’m a bit miffed lately too. No comms on what’s next, rewritten vector update today (great, but weeks of radio silence before) and I find the latest builds very unstable.
My separation is totally broken, I get constant AI go arounds, AI overtaking each other on short final, flying through me and planes parking at the wrong gates like Delta and Icelandair at T5 in Heathrow and BA at T4. Yesterday I landed at KIAD and I had zero moving traffic at the airport - just parked. It was 8pm local time so should have been super busy with all sliders at 7. I’ve been posting about the separation issues for a while now on their discord with player logs and up until today didn’t even get acknowledgement that it’s being looked into.
 

When it works it’s fantastic and I can’t fly without it but I feel like too often it’s one step forward and two steps back with this and things suddenly breaking that used to work perfectly for months.

Agreed. Today's experimental update looked great on paper but turned out to be a total failure. Certainly more than just 2 steps back...

Yeah things aren't that great right now. I will come back to this in a week or two .

I went back to the EA version: that one works okay. Or at least I got used to its quirks... It's far from perfect but well, I don't really like to fly without it.
