November 21, 20241 yr This is my no means a complete test of all varieties of addon airports. I have at least (3) that are not showing up at all. What I am seeing are default MS2024 airports. It may be that addon airports for 2020 with handcrafted scenery objects are doing fine in 2024. However airports enhanced with MS2020 default scenery objects may not be doing well. For example, JBrown put together a very nice KESN, Easton, Maryland, for MSFS2020. For some reason MSFS2024 is not recognizing or using it despite that I have it in my MSFS2024 Community folder, along with other addon airports that are working. November 21, 20241 yr Hmm, I tried to bring over a couple of airports from my 2020 community folder. 2024 sees the scenery, it appears in my library, but then says Not Installed, and it is not in the sim. Is there anything else I need to do? MSFS 2024. November 21, 20241 yr I would think that airports are the least of any issue. Blimey, my concern are all my planes, hardware and ancilliary apps that I want to use. CPFlight MCP/EFIS, FSUIPC, A&Ohs, Stream Deck, Cockpit simulator FMC, Propwash radios, Vrinsight OH, SPAD, all the bindings etc etc etc, then all my profiles for different aircraft. A complete PITA! You need to put the folder in the 2024 community folder, start the sim, wait for that message, and the restart the sim (this part isn't obvious) for it to correctly show up. November 21, 20241 yr Just flying a circuit between KLGA and CYHZ. KLGA is beautiful (from SimMarket - 2024 compatible). With the new graphics and scenery, airport traffic ai etc., it's looking fantastic in 4K. Smooth. Now I'm flying the Max 8 BBJ and it has it's problems but I spent the morning setting my joystick assignments. Once I got the hang of it the whole process it's pretty good. My co-pilot with the great animation is handling the coms. I can now see 2024 taking form. When everything is straightened out has huge potential. Made the fp in simbrief, exported to Navigraph, then exported in pln format for the flight planner in 2024. Simconnect shows the plane following the path. ATC is pretty weak. I'll be using Say Intentions at some point whenever other aspects of the sim are sorted out. Also I find the ground handling of the 737 very nice.
