November 23, 20241 yr I ran Navigraph hub and it was updated with 2024 preset. 2024 Beta 1 is live! Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). November 23, 20241 yr I like it, certainly handy to have that on the EFB as well. AMD Ryzen 7800x3d 64gb DDR5, Sapphire 7900 GPU MSSI Tomahawk AM5 M/Board. 1x 4tb Crucial M.2 SSD, 3x 2tb Crucial M.2 SSD's
November 23, 20241 yr No 2024 Navigraph update for me, like I did for 2020. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
November 23, 20241 yr Thanks for the heads up. November 23, 20241 yr It really highlights how much better coverage Navigraph has with charts over LIDO, especially for VFR flying. Was really missing it in the sim. And the app integrated in the EFB works great, better than 2020.
November 23, 20241 yr Uh guys without Navigraph you won't be able to fly the Fenix or PMDG or basically any non-iniBuilds airliner. They can't use the MSFS dataformat For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
November 23, 20241 yr Moderator If navigraph is no longer needed, does that mean MS will provide updates every 28 days? Just curious, I don’t mind supporting Navigraph, they have done (and still are doing) an amazing job for our simming community. Market forces will have the developers adapt and incorporate the more readily available option. All it takes is one to use it! And iniBuilds already does, so it is just a matter of time. edit: Oh, and Boeing looking to sell Jeppesen / Foreflight to concentrate on core aircraft building side of things. If the sale goes through Navigraph may have to renegotiate their license as a new buyer would be looking for a return on their investment prices could change, making the included option more attractive. So... then why did they not use the MSFS2020 navdata? It's the same format and still broken. They haven't used it for 4 years, why would they start using it now? Keep in mind that LIDO charts being available has nothing to do with it. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

They were looking at their base of customers, who use Navigraph, and are already convinced it’s superior, and it was already implemented from FSX/P3D days. There has been a shift in the market environment as evidenced by the post above showing users already willing to change.

There has been a shift in the market environment as evidenced by the post above showing users already willing to change. Fenix wasn't even there in P3D and PMDG did everything they could to put their aircraft inside the limits of MSFS (not using external stuff at all). Again, the reason is that the MSFS navdata format is inappropriate for any kind of study level simulation. That's why iniBuilds uses it (just like they reuse their very same FMC logic for every aircraft, be it an A300, A310, A320neo, A321neo, A330, A350).
