I just purchased fshud and did 2 flights. I thought it really improved the overall busy feel of the flight, and kept the typical dumb AI traffic away. I was really, really disappointed with the vectors to final though, it pretty much ruined the whole experience. It was just way too much left and right fine tuning, and then had me intercept a localizer by flying parallel to the runway a mile off course. I tried a second time just to see if it was a one off but it did the exact same thing at a different airport.

I later tried it with no active or parked aircraft and it was better, but still pretty convoluted vectoring.

The other issue was the initial taxi to holding point instruction, and then nothing happened. I had to call and re-ask and receive taxi instructions, and then it cleared me for takeoff. And the same thing when landing and vacating the runway. It would be great if it was just a little ahead of you on both situations.

Im hoping there's a way to fix it because it really does show promise.

Hello,

Please check the answer I provided you in Discord and email in order to forward with this issue.

Thank you

I picked up FSHud today on sale, and I'm quite enjoying it so far. The voices can sometimes be a smidge robotic, but nothing too bad. For a one time payment software, this is fine. It seems to work quite well.

Just a question. I also have Justflight Traffic installed, so how should I deal with that? Do I disable it, or have it inject the traffic for FsHud to manage?

You can regulate "Radio effect" in the Audio settings. Play with that, remove radio effect, for me it's worked!

Hello everyone and best regards to the AVSIM community. Since the new FSHud version 2.0.309, I have been having the problem that FSLTL can no longer connect to FSHud. “MSFS Open but FSHud not available yet - start a flight with FSHud”. Is it possible to revert to the previous version?

Hi Markus.

I would suggest you open a ticket via the FSHud interface and the developer is usually incredibly responsive!  I opened a ticket and had my fix almost instantly, great support.

I thought I had read a while back that FSHUD no longer has a direct connect with FSLTL. You have to set it up differently than before. Sorry I don't remember exactly how but I know something changed. AIG still has a direct connect to FSHUD but I believe FSLTL does not.

Yes I too was wondering about this. I see no option to connect the two, and it all just works anyway? I can launch FSltl while FSHud is running, and it automatically removes any duplicate planes ("Removed by MS Traffic Engine" is the message). But usually I just leave it off and dont' bother. FSHud pulls the models from FS Traffic (which I also have) and FSLtl and just works.

No problems here with FSTLT and FSHUD ... works well!
Simulator Traffic: Enabled, External: Enabled.

FSHud doesn't work with FSLT using REST API (External Traffic source) - it was out of support by FSLTL around year ago.
The correct way to work with FSLTL is to update FSLTL to latest version and set "Simulator Traffic" mode in FSHud to "Enable"

It is also explained in our traffic settings guide:
https://www.fshud.com/site/knowledge/traffic-settings-v2

And of course I would like to mentiond about our "golden tirnity" 🙂:
Knowledge Base,
Application Checklists,
Support Tickets

Opening a support ticket is the fastest and most effective way to resolve issues and get relevant answers.
Please don’t waste time asking in the community (unless you just want to chat about the problem rather than solve it 🙂); the likelihood of getting a correct answer there is much lower.

There are many factors involved, so even for us it’s challenging to give an exact answer based only on a forum post with no details about your version, simulator, environment, and other information that may affect the issue.

Thank you

Hello everyone. When the FSLTL support for FSHud expired, I only used version 1.6.6, which was the last version with native support for FSHud. That worked very well for a long time. With the new FSHud (2.0.309), you have to say goodbye to FSLTL 1.6.6 and install the current FSLTL version via FBW Installer and start it after loading MSFS. If the settings in MSFS and FSHud are set as described in the respective descriptions, everything will work as before.

Many thanks to Paul for the suggestion to use the ticket system in the FSHud interface, and a big thank you to FSHud Support for the very quick response.

Seeing as this has become my "go to" topic for FSHud, I'd like to make a request:

In the ATC messages window, could it be possible to highlight the messages to/from your own aircraft - to distinguish them from all the other comms? At a busy airport, it's all too easy to miss the audio commands and the messages display soon gets very cluttered.

FSHud is a stunning piece of work :)

Hi Adamski,

there is a setting on the ATC window that will only show your aircraft’s comms and nor all the other ATC conversations if that helps.

cheers

Sure - yes - I use that sometimes, but I'd like to be able to see all the comms (it's quite absorbing!) ... just a cosmetic thing to make my own related stuff stand out. II seem to remember either P3D or FSX used to do this in the ATC window <???>.

PF3 had this where you could choose different color messages for your messages vs ATC...  Nice feature.

I’ve been using fdhud successfully for while now and enjoying it. I especially love the feature of being able to have another device as the interface. For some reason it no longer works as it initially shows then flickers and says something like it’s “not working repeatedly and so is in error”. I haven’t changed anything on my end and it does not appear to be a firewall issue as I have checked to ensure the exception is in place. Any suggestions? Sorry I can’t access discord because of a dual account issue I haven’t been able to resolve.

User communication messages already highlighted - you can see the background and text colors are different and more enhanced than ATC communications.
