FSHUD 2.0 for MSFS Users

One of my absolute favourite features of FSHud (aside from it handling traffic incredibly well) is being able to run the application and have the taxi map on an external tablet.

I have ATC handled by the co-pilot and whenever a decision needs to be made (i.e. ready for pushback) I simply click a button on the tablet to start the procedure.

It leaves my monitor clear instead of having the awful MSFS toolbar windows cluttering everything up.

Enjoying FSHUD but noticing that the volume for the radio voices is so loud, and the volume control in the FSHUD app doesn't seem to make any real difference. Sorry I can't post on discord because of a %^$& phone verification issue so wondering here if anyone has suggestions. Thanks!

Thanks for feedback,
You have 2 levels of controlling volume:

For COM1, COM2 separatly (see in manuals) and in windows volume mixer where you can reduce volume for the whole FSHud application process.

You can also reduce phonetic noise effect in FSHud settings if you feel that the conversation is too noisy.

This is well explained in our knowledge base tutorials:

I picked up FSHud today on sale, and I'm quite enjoying it so far. The voices can sometimes be a smidge robotic, but nothing too bad. For a one time payment software, this is fine. It seems to work quite well.

Just a question. I also have Justflight Traffic installed, so how should I deal with that? Do I disable it, or have it inject the traffic for FsHud to manage?

Thanks for feedback,

For Just Flight FS Traffic - you have to set Simulator Traffic source to Enable as long as this traffic is intercepted from MSFS.
I suggest you to read all information about traffic settings here:

Thank you for this, will give it a try. I’m a relatively new user of FSHUD but have been impressed by the traffic flow and voices are pretty decent. 👍 Happy with my purchase and looking forward to the continued refinements and features in the roadmap.

I'm very happy with FSHud! I was away for a few weeks, and when I came back, I saw lots of updates and fixes!
And finally, discounts! I’ve recommended it to my friends, so expect more purchases soon!

Thank you. The program works really well. I’m enjoying it a lot. I’m hoping a future FSHud (3.0?) starts using the higher quality voices that are available these days, but perfectly happy to wait for that and buy whatever the next version is, whenever that releases

I assume that there will be some sort of discount for current owners 😀

I'd like to hear more about this FSHud 3.0 🙂

I feel dumb but, if buying the FSHUD license on the FSHUB website, do I choose the "production" or the "beta" version? Is BETA the version 2 of software that only works for MSFS2024 (I need it for 2024)...

It doesn't matter - both environments (beta, prod) are leading to the same license purchase.
MSFS 2024 is compatable for both envrionments.

At the moment the developer is keeping the production branch more or less in-step with the beta branch. Patches get released into beta, then a couple of weeks or so later they get rolled into production. I would expect that close relationship to be changed when the 2025 Roadmap updates are with us, as I would expect there to be a more extended amount of time between beta and production updates to allow new features to be fully tested by the community.

In the end it mainly depends if you want to be on the 'bleeding edge' of new developments or prefer a more stable life as to whether you choose beta or production.

(As an aside, I see a number of references to FSHUB rather than FSHUD in posts - is that just a spell-checker thing or is there/was there something called FSHUB too?)

Thanks! @FSHud Ok got it running now. And one more question, the settings for traffic are a bit confusing, how do I set the settings if I *only* want FSLTL injected traffic and nothing else (no MSFS live traffic, no AIG / BGL etc.)

Would it be simulator traffic = enable, and then "external" enable? I watched the video here but still just don't get it. Sorry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oV_TwOka_k4

Simulator Traffic - Enable.
All other traffic sources (including external) - Unchecked.

Also turn off default MSFS traffic in MSFS settings.

I just purchased fshud and did 2 flights. I thought it really improved the overall busy feel of the flight, and kept the typical dumb AI traffic away. I was really, really disappointed with the vectors to final though, it pretty much ruined the whole experience. It was just way too much left and right fine tuning, and then had me intercept a localizer by flying parallel to the runway a mile off course. I tried a second time just to see if it was a one off but it did the exact same thing at a different airport.

I later tried it with no active or parked aircraft and it was better, but still pretty convoluted vectoring.

The other issue was the initial taxi to holding point instruction, and then nothing happened. I had to call and re-ask and receive taxi instructions, and then it cleared me for takeoff. And the same thing when landing and vacating the runway. It would be great if it was just a little ahead of you on both situations.

Im hoping there's a way to fix it because it really does show promise.
