I’ve been using fdhud successfully for while now and enjoying it. I especially love the feature of being able to have another device as the interface. For some reason it no longer works as it initially shows then flickers and says something like it’s “not working repeatedly and so is in error”. I haven’t changed anything on my end and it does not appear to be a firewall issue as I have checked to ensure the exception is in place. Any suggestions? Sorry I can’t access discord because of a dual account issue I haven’t been able to resolve.

Just scroll up several messages upwards to see how to handle such issues 🙂

User communication messages already highlighted - you can see the background and text colors are different and more enhanced than ATC communications.

Aaah ... so they are!!! I hadn't noticed the subtle/different background! Many thanks!

Just want to say thank you for this amazing ATC and your last updates! Now I'm enjoying my flights with so many aircrafts, everything super smooth!

Indeed, FSHUD is again my go to ATC robot, and the author keeps perfecting and adding features being a really nice example of continuous support!

After investigating long time the three big ones (BATC, SI and FSHud) i decided yesterday to go with FSHud as my first ATC Addon.

Good call! I’ve bought every traffic solution I could find. BATC and Si keep regressing more and more, FSHUD seems to be the only program that is able to sequence and flow the traffic properly, and it’s hopefully only going to get better!

in fact I experienced crossing the pond with other traffic that never disappeared the whole crossing of the Atlantic which blew me out of the water so to speak! A first in non-Vatsim traffic simulation imho.

Is FSHUD still as finicky about connected taxiways? Can it now read encrypted airports? How is the vectoring?

Agreed - FSHUD was the only ATC I've experienced so far that did really good at simultaneous approaches too.  Was flying into LAX a while back and having another A320 going to the south runways was very immersive, especially being able to hear them on the radio as well.

Can FSHUD be started mid-flight and provide ATC for the remainder of the flight?  I haven't tried that yet.

Yes - resume flight from current situation option in the menu

I liked the word "finicky" about connected taxiways... 🙂
Let me ask you - if I draw a door in the wall, can you enter into it? (this is what happens with the taxiways "fastidiousness").

Regarding encrypted airport - YES for around one year.

Though MSFS ATC is far from perfect, I've been enjoying following ATC instructions with FSHUD - something I rarely did in the past. One thing I've noticed is that instructions now correctly take into account the aircraft type and give a corresponding entry points for the takeoff runway. Is this due to FSHUD - or did it always work like that in MSFS by default (curious)?

Another bonus appears to be more detailed instructions, when taxiing, with respect to crossing active runways etc. Again - is this an improved feature due to FSHUD?

You might note that as you are about to cross active runways, the MSFS default messages will change, letting you know that the sim is aware of what you are doing but currently takes no action nor requires any from you. Fshud, on the other hand, will give you instructions, but I bet it would not be hard to make the default atc do this as well.

I don't understand how this matters. Other ATC programs don't care about whether the taxiways are "connected".

Btw, I'm referring to this video on your website:

It seems convoluted to be presented with an error message, then  having to check the airport, using the dev mode, then potetntially removing it from the community folder, find a substitute or use default, and, finally, restart the simulator.

BATC is 100% limited this way (with no plans of breaking free from this limitation). But once FShud releases their airport editor this will be a thing of the past, the way I understand it. (We then can edit the taxiways ourselves easily, and crowdsource fixes for broken ai nodes in sceneries)

SayIntentions has a similar tool (taxi tuner) which is awesome as then we don’t have to be at the mercy of scenery developers that don’t make creating proper Ai nodes (taxiways) a priority!

Agreed, although I wish SayIntentions would allow users to import third party airport data (taxiways/runways/parking etc) as that would significantly speed up the process of editing/adjusting/tweaking airports.

@FSHud If you do go ahead and create a function that allows users to edit the taxiway paths etc etc, please please please allow the user the option to "import" third party scenery (as well as the Asobo default scenery) data as a starting point.
