Does that change your attitude?

Nope, one and the same.  Didn’t realize I had an attitude, just my process.  Opinions are meaningless without context and supporting evidence.

I know this is much earlier comment, but it’s the truth. I waited almost a full year to get 2020. I knew it would be a mess and it was. So, thanks to the folks who bought early because it’ll help improve the sim through time. I’ll likely wait 6 months until I pull the trigger on 24 because 20 works perfectly for me.

Yes I do.  You define “interaction” different than I.

Checking oil, moving flaps and then what?  Kick the tires?  The “action” is pointless, per my original statement.  Why waste development resources and time on something that has no purpose/consequences?

There is no “interaction” in any meaningful way to the service of the aircraft.  I don’t have an option to call a service tech.  Same goes for inside the cockpit also … it’s pretty common for equipment failures in the cockpit that require calling of maintenance who will onboard, evaluate, and either register the fault and allow continuation of flight or not and have another aircraft flown in or brought over from another area … this is actually very common.  I only fly about 20 times a year and 3 of my flights were delayed due to equipment issues.

It's procedure, and it's something people asked for. Same with all of the startup procedure stuff people go through in the cockpits, despite also never finding a fault. The immersion of being a pilot, without the headaches part where you're sitting on the tarmac for hours running late while maintenance crew are assessing electronics problems and passengers are complaining in the terminal.

It should be skippable like every other part of the process of getting a plane up in the air for people who don't care, but I completely understand why it was added.

As far as I'm aware, it's not illegal to hook a trailing camera with negative zoom outside of a real airplane and then have that being displayed on a screen in the cockpit. So I got you there 🙂

Lazy ground crew these days fail to wipe the windscreen clean when refueling, or check the oil. They mumble gibberish about "self serve". Can't see for the blasted bugs on the glass !

I like it. At first I thought it was just cute but didn’t think it’d actually become a routine part of my flights.
