Wow.  The incompetence of Asobo & MS is staggering, shameful, and should be embarrassing. I had reservations about people being so critical but now it’s simply deserved. I think a new te

  • I guess they need to change the batteries again on their Radio Shack Servers. 😉

  • Sama vika täälläkin Suomessa. FS2020 ei toimi. Jää olemattomien päivitysten hakuun. Same problem here in Finland. FS2020 doesn't work. I'm stuck searching for non-existent updates.

FS2020 a non starter here. Endless update checker. Then loading takes 15 minutes and crashes the sim. This is totally unacceptable. Have been shut out all day. Shockingly bad by Asobo. Are they stealing bandwidth for FS2024?

That is exactly what I think they are doing.

Maybe they should take the parts they borrowed from the  2020 servers for 2024, and put them back where they belong

Hmm, Just complete a flight, exited out, rebooted, relaunched, checking for installations took 20 seconds and then proceeded to launch as normal...

I did notice some slow loading textures on the last flight though.

I am Northeast US

I am also in the US northeast and have had no issues. I loaded 2020 twice this morning and just now, and was fully loaded in about 2.5 minutes just as always. I’m not saying there is not something going on, but it is not affecting this area.

Oh yeah, Elmira, I pass you on the way to Watkins Glen, beautiful area!!

Agreed, as far as the Northeast goes MSFS has actually seemed to be running better than ever other than some slow loading textures at one point on my last flight but even that was only for a minute or two.

I’m also in the northeast and flew a 6 plus hour flight from JFK to DUB and it worked 100% fine and was smooth throughout.  That is not an excuse though because we should not be experiencing this at all.  This is unacceptable that a product we spent money on is being taken over by a newer product that’s not ready.

No doubt there is some kind of issue, but it is not happening everywhere. It probably depends on which specific servers you connect to during the log-in/initialization process.

I could not load 2020 earlier today and my servers are in Seatlle area.  I did load 2024 and finally flew the Max 8 reasonably well.  Still a few bugs, however, it is growing on me.  Microsoft is doing an awful job of providing the necessary  bandwidth for the products, they sell.  Shame on them.

Just now, it took 35 seconds for searching for updates to complete and move on to successful boot up 2020. Western USA server is where I live. It usually takes about 10 seconds.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

I have 0 delays in booting up 2024 at least dozens of times. Except the first 2 hours on day 1 release of 2024. Everything in 2024 loads so much swifter and snappier than 2020 every time. Including scenery in the distance loading.

I thought I was the one with the issue and ended up reinstalling the simulator. Once I get pass the updates, the flight is not loading.  It’s been stuck for 25 minutes. Not sure if I am the problem or the server.
