Well here we go again, this started a day after 2024 was released. Checking for updates went from about 3 seconds to sometimes 30 seconds.  Today on  my second flight, it is stuck permanently on checking for updates.  What a PIA. 

same and what a coincidence that this happens on weekend when presumably more simmers are online. They told us server issue was solved, pile of BS.

I just saw the same problem posted on the MSFS official forum on Dec 5, 2024, affecting 2020. 

Sama vika täälläkin Suomessa. FS2020 ei toimi. Jää olemattomien päivitysten hakuun.

Same problem here in Finland. FS2020 doesn't work. I'm stuck searching for non-existent updates.

Just showed an update of 0mb, with a continue box. Clicked on continue, and now it is loading. 

Same here... loading now for over 20 minutes, also did a restart of both sim and windows. No change - Very boring 🤥

Wow.  The incompetence of Asobo & MS is staggering, shameful, and should be embarrassing.

I had reservations about people being so critical but now it’s simply deserved.

I think a new team needs to be brought in to clean up before moving forward.

same here. MS/Asobo sucks. Every two or three days sth is not working.

Yes what a pain.  Yet to complete a flight in MSFS 2024 (given up for now) and  now can't get into 2020 because stuck on update screen.  

Well I got past the checking for updates, and it still won't load after 8 minutes. Maybe they should take the parts they borrowed from the  2020 servers for 2024, and put them back where they belong. 🤣

Same here.  Stuck on Checking for Updates (MS2020).  That's after rebooting the PC's because loading was running for about 20mins.  Plus I also got the 0MB update!!

This all started a day after 2024 was released, and people were complaining about the 2024 servers.
