Please Parallel 42, save us finely from the default camera system of MSFS, please!!!

As a former ChasePlane user, I’m actually fine with the default camera system. It lets me set up custom views and move around the plane, both inside and out, pretty easily.

That said, I really miss having a simple fly-by camera. I’d happily buy an add-on that brings that functionality back.

The default camera system works just fine. I worked in MSFS 2020 and it works in MSFS 2024, if you spend some time setting up the controls. You can actually bind the same keys you used in MSFS 2020l.

There are youtube tutorials on how to do this.

I do hope so, it was an amazing add on in Prepar3d..

The default is fine if you use the keyboard to switch views. It’s pretty bad if you use something like a hat switch or you want to cycle through some views.

Me too. I don't see myself missing anything in MSFS2024 when it comes to cameras. Maybe the flyby, as noted. I used CP to mainly have keys for cockpit views, and this is what MSFS covers now well.

If I am the only one not liking the default camera system, maybe I do it wrong. How to you setup Wingviews without messing with the camera.cfg?

Apparently this change in FS2024, I was still refering to FS2020. Will check this, haven't had time yet to configure FS24.

The MSFS team probably aren't going to change the camera system for MSFS 2020.

It's MSFS 2024 that matters down the road, if you eventually migrate to MSFS 2024. And MSFS 2024 is using a new camera system anyways which is Flight Control Replay.

I hate the default camera system, like everything else tied up into the UI of MSFS, just a clunky affair with a lot of limitations. Though to my knowledge, there's still no full access to the camera API for developers, so I doubt this version of Chaseplane would truly allow for the freedom of its ESP counterpart.

If you have axis and ohs you can try this scripts.

aao also have a trial version to test for 15mins

I used EZdok in P3D. If Chaseplane does come to MSFS, it's certainly something I'll need to check out.

I recently got their Flow and it's very good widget add-on.
