January 19, 20251 yr reinstall FS 2020 🙂 I told myself I never wanted to play 2020 again, given the excellent overall experience I am getting from FS 2024, but I am really getting teased with all of the comments regarding teh FSLabs 320 CEO, and really wanted to give it a try ... Problem is I fear that a FS 2020 install on a system with FS 2024 installed could create some sort of disruption to FS 2024 😕 In FS 2020 I could leave the base install in my System "C :" folder and the content in F:, while with FS 2024 I have to opt and opted for a full move of the Xbox folders to F: If I go ahead and install FS 2020 then I will choose for the full install to go into F: too... and with FS 2024 I see two folders under the base install folder, together with the "Community" folder, one for FS 2020 the other for FS 2024, so I guess it should be "pacific" ? Well... uninstaller tales 😁 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
January 19, 20251 yr I have considered doing that a few times just to try out aircraft like the FSLabs A320, but hold off just like you in case something goes wrong. 2024 is running so well on my system I just can't put that in jeopardy! I recently purchased the Inibuilds A300-600 after reading about the FSLabs A320, as I wanted another aircraft. I am so glad I did - the Inibuilds A300-600 and 2024 are a fantastic match. Here I am in the descent into KSDF Louisville. This video also makes me smile thinking of the recent thread about poor quality clouds etc. Default live weather, ASFS in passive mode and Realturb V2. January 19, 20251 yr Moderator I uninstalled 2020 when 2024 came out, but have since reinstalled 2020 (while 2024 still installed) and I’ve had zero problems with either. I9-13900K, RTX 4090, DR5-6000MHZ, CORSAIR ICUE H150I ELITE, ASUS PRIME Z790-P, THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER GF3 1350W, WIN 11
January 19, 20251 yr I never uninstalled 2020 but stripped it down a bit as I only use it for the iFly Max8 on occasion. No issues having both sims installed at all. My only problem is just having the same airports installed for both sims taking up more space..... Eric i9-12900k, RTX 5070ti OC, 32GB ddr5 5600 RAM, 2TB 980 Pro SSD, Titan 240RX AIO, Samsung CRG90 49", Win 11
January 19, 20251 yr I have both installed on the same nvme drive. I use 2020 for pmdg and tbm 850. No issues. I have a ton of add on airports. I installed add on linker for 2024 and use it to link my already installed scenery to 2024. That way I do not have anything installed twice. The only airports I have installed twice are the airports that are specifically for 2024 like inibuilds KPSP. I now have 2 add on linkers installed, but that takes very little space.
