Just to reply briefly to those asking about various elements of this debate. Sorry but you're not going to get masses of detail from me, that wouldn't be correct business practise and it'd simply

Typically big releases are preceded by YT reviews by the usual suspects to gin up excitement for sales.  When this doesn't happen it's usually because there is nothing good to write about.

72 buckeroos?  Is it a Fenix level Diesel 9?

It's 58 buckeroos.
Please don't let the fact that none of you have it stop you from panning it.
I wonder why anyone wants to be a developer when all that happens is that
numerous non-owners with their own agenda rush out at every opportunity
do do your product down.
I have no connection with this developer but their product looks just like a DC9
and we are told that it works in two simulator versions.
For some reason, Avsim members seem to think that developers should work for
next to nothing and sell their products cheaply.
Those are facts the rest is cynical sniping by those who have nothing better to do.

Who exactly is panning it?  We are just stating that caution is in order before plopping down a good chunk of change with nary a review available to help make a decision.  If the developer was so gung ho on the product, they would have pre-released it to a select group of reviewers to generate buzz.  Given that didn't happen, it makes even more of a case to be cautious.

I was looking at the just flight link - a reputable store - unlike simmarket.

We are questioning them because previously this company's work isn't very nice (I don't have it but it's what I've read - look at their MD11 yikes)... so YEAH.. I'm going to question an addon that costs 72 USD (or even 58) for msfs - it's gotta be extremely well done, fenix, pmdg, black square, a2a etc...

edit: oh by the way, apparently it's okay for you to decide it's more than you care to spend, but when I question the amount I get an essay from you about how developers need to be paid for their work.  Got it!

I owned the DC-9 for P3D and watched a friend stream the exact same DC-9 last night in MSFS. The sounds are even the same - you can tell the original FS9 soundpack never got a proper FSX migration because it's lacking sound cone data and has that weird stereo effect.

From what I saw it also has major FDE issues, in addition to being just a "dead" feeling aircraft.

I got an email from just flight about this release too - I am curious to find out what it is all about. If I remember back from my FSX days - there used be a DC9 developed by another developer (can't remember the name "coolsky" perhaps) which was very immersive with detailed systems simulation.

This one from Skysimulations costs almost £46.99 which is almost $58, I will definitely wait for people to review it before considering.

The Coolsky one was excellent.

I am not questioning the price, I am saying that for me, at the moment, for a simulator that is not only not ready but is also in a constant state of flux, spending anything on an addon is too much.
This is nowhere near the same as misstating an inflated version of the price and then cynically asking  "Is it a Fenix level Diesel 9?"
No doubt that's very funny.

Glad I waited - a big 'Do not Buy' even before V1-Simulations goes live!

Thanks for posting, will certainly watch once it’s up but that’s too bad, a nice DC-9 would have been well appreciated.
