Welcome to the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Sim Update 1 public beta test!

The first Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Beta previewing Sim Update 1 is now available on PC-MS Store, PC-Steam, and Xbox Series X|S.

For those familiar with the previous Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) public tests, the process to join/leave the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Beta is the same and instructions have been provided below. You must own Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (or have an appropriate Xbox Game Pass subscription) to participate on the platform of your choice.

Please note the in-sim Marketplace is planned to release with Sim Update 1 but will not be accessible during the Beta. You will still be able to access your available owned content via My Library and utilize the same functionality currently present in the sim.

That’s a nice long list of fixes. Time to install the Beta.

StreamedPackages folder is now in the same folder you set as your community folder location. Don't see that mentioned in the patch notes

FlyTampa CYYZ needs an update (mesh/elevation issue, plane falls into the runway), but otherwise it's looking good.

I had this same problem at PAKT because I had 2 versions of the airport streamed.

Exterior lights and interior flood lights work during the day now, but they're still darker than 2020 during the day though

Thanks much

Wow ground textures and World map textures look a ton better - AWESOME - looks like a new sim - streets look amazing now

Looks like they are streaming new terrain data - like google maps on steroids but just a quick fly around

Broke AUTOFPS though
