Good look in trying to set it up

Thanks - looks like I can expect a few days of tweaking - which is to be expected with this hobby I suppose 🙂

and I just got my PimaxCrystalLight VR. the best experience since sliced MSFS 2024.

I tried VR fairly early on with an Oculus Rift years ago. Although it was very immersive (with another sim which I will not name here of course), I got that VR-sickness that people talk about, and eventually sold the unit (with a profit, I might add).

Back on topic: Is there some sort of consensus in terms of how to approach DLSS4 in MSFS2024 beta (which is what I'm interested in)?

very nice.

I'm keeping my eye on my favorite Avsim banned guru sage IslandSimPilot. Not yet, but soon he will show me the way...

Good grief, how is the average computer layperson (like me) meant to sort this lot out?

I’m keeping out of this until it’s just an easy one click solution like it should be, I’ll put up with creaking VR in the meantime.

Some suggest using opentrack with it, but for some reason isn’t compatible with G-sync)

Huh? I’m using Tobii with opentrack on a g-sync panel.

From Guru3D forum:

If anyone want to use the new DLSS file with preset K in all games
Just use nvidia profile inspector (Latest version) and put the DLSS presets to 0x00FFFFF and in the Other section put Enable DLSS-SR override to 0x0000001
that's basically what nvidia app do in specific game put we apply it in the global profile.
if the dll file not updated automatically in the future we can easily go to
"C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA\NGX\models\dlss\versions" and create a new version for the DLL and instead of the old generic number E658703 it will be app_E658700 and change the DLL version in the nvngx_config.txt for app_E658700 as normal with the latest DLL file version

Working  for me in MSFS 2024. Also I notice it now says: v310.2.1 instead of v310.1.0

Did you elect to have it NOT optimize your games?   Or did you have it optimize them.

You don’t need to optimize

Disables g-sync when I try, maybe because I have multiple monitors, I didn’t try again though, I don’t like open track. I want it to work natively, so I copied my msfs2020 xml settings over to 2024.

One guy is impressed

Yeah, it’s definitely not ideal (I don’t have up / down head movement although I can look up and down). Bearable, but hope they can get native in soon.

Just waking up over here. Not going to have a chance to play with this until tomorrow, but for 3X series users, is the headline that it’s better to do it manually than use the new Nvidia app if you want super resolution?
