February 2, 20251 yr In game / onscreen display show: preset K DLSSv3 310.2.1 nvngx_dlss 3.10.2.10 & nvngx_dlssg 310.2.00 are in the same folder as FlightSimulator2024.exe. DLSS Swapper verifies that 310.2.10 is installed correctly. nVidia App (11.0.2.312) and nVidia Profile Inspector (2.4.0.8) show all the settings as specified in the Definitive Guide post for V4 In game Frame Gen is an available option as is Super Resolution The in game scenery, aircraft, clouds are clear, clean, and crisp. The framerate is acceptable (~55 with FG on and most settings at High with a few at Ultra, TLOD 200 and OLOD 200). No stutters and panning is smooth. SO - what am I missing when the on screen display says I have DLSSv3 running? What other options or enhancements would be available with V4? AND... why is DLSS V4 not showing up in my system Edited February 2, 20251 yr by TacomaSailor AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D / MSI X870 Tomahawk Mobo / 64 GB DDR5 memory / RTX 4070 Super with 12 GB VRAM / AORUS FO48U 4k display NVMe for Drive C, an NVMe device dedicated to Flight Sim 2024 and a separate NVMe device for Flight Sim 2020 and an NVMe dedicated to 500GB of addons managed by AddonsLinker / 1 GB Comcast Xfinity Internet connection / HP Reverb G2 / Tobii 5 Head & Eye Tracking

The actual files installed are what is referred to as DLSS4, even though their actual identifiers are 310.2.10 and 310.2.20. I don't know the hx of the number system but yes that is what is happening. February 2, 20251 yr Yup, you have DLSS 4 already. That’s why it’s so good. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

You mean I have been struggling to achieve the much coveted "DLSS V4 status" for the last two days and I have been there the whole time? Oh Well... I sure learned a lot rummaging around trying to implement something that went in painlessly days ago. Wish all life was like that! I thought that wasn't possible? Is there a good guide somewhere that explains what you need to do to get DLSS 4.0 with FG (!) working on a 3060 Ti? I have been reading about all this DLSS stuff for quite some time but still don't get it... You need a swapper, you need a navigator, you need some sort of nVidia app... Sounds way too complicated...
February 2, 20251 yr I used the video by Cpt_Piett and it worked great. It's pretty much like his tutorial goes in one of the threads here at the forum. But has he points out in his comments to the video, there are at least 3 different ways to achieve it. I chose to go with his video tutorial, linked bellow, where he uses Nvidia Profile Inspector to change some registers that enable the option inside the Nvidia App. How to get DLSS4 working in MSFS 2020 + 2024 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

I thought there were hacks that could enable that. I suppose the main advantage of using DLSS 4 with a 3060 Ti is that you can run MSFS2024 at a lower resolution and then let DLSS display it at a higher resolution...? (I still wonder if I will actually benefit from that with my full hardware GSync monitor...)

I can get 60fps at very acceptable display quality without hammering my GPU and CPU and without stutters... There's also the alternative of Lossless Scalling, but I didn't yet buy it from Steam... February 2, 20251 yr I have followed the instructions to the letter and get a status bar at the top left under the title bar for MSFS 2024. In the Nvidia app, when I select "Use same settings for DLSS.." and choose "Latest" and "Accept", it defaults to the "Use different settings ... " selection below. David Porrett
